10/10 Exceptional

Went during the week so the hotel was not very crowded. Central to a lot of things to do. Was given an early check in/out no problem which was really appreciated. Would stay again.

10/10 Exceptional

Our family had a fantastic last-minute stay at Hotel Providence. The location can’t be beat; it is in walking distance from almost anything you could want to do in Providence. Our room (two queen beds) was clean, spacious and comfortable. The “continental” breakfast buffet was nicer than a typical continental breakfast, with several hot options and lots of fresh fruit. I would absolutely stay here again!
Tracy, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Room was comfortable and clean. We pre paid for the room yet upon check in we were told there was an additional $23 resort fee due. This should not be the case since we pre paid in full and also because while the hotel was nice enough and comfortable, it is most definitely not a resort.

Great hotel
Pat, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Great staff but a little dated

Nice hotel and the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The hotel is definitely older in terms of decor, but the room was neat and clean. Unfortunately the couple in the room next to us were arguing most of the night and I guess the walls aren’t that thick. Also outside the hotel there were a lot of homeless people gathering. Didn’t feel threatened but a little uncomfortable.

Hotel Providence

The hotel itself is great with comfortable rooms and great breakfast. While the location is convenient the parking was not as great. The valet and closeby lot was $40 a night.

Great Hotel but Sketchy Location

Hotel Providence was an okay stay for one night. Hotel itself was clean-although our room had a mouse trap right under the bed. Staff-both front desk and valet were not very helpful at all with questions about the area. The location wasn't great either. Not a place to walk around the streets and feel safe. We had to Uber or drive everywhere to see sights and dine. One visit to Providence was all we needed. Not planning to come back. We went for Portuguese food and experience. Providence itself wasn't that great-inly stayed one night-that was enough.

Not a great location.

Not a great neighborhood. There were a bunch of homeless people gathered in front of the hotel all the time. Fire truck showed up twice to address issues on consecutive days.

Very cozy hotel. Amazing customer service

4/10 Fair

Found the staff to be fairly rude. Tried to avoid interacting with them after the first few times. Constant water/plumbing noise in the room coming from above, meaning sleep would have been difficult without earplugs/airpods.

Nice hotel in the hood?

The hotel is located where there is many different activities and “action”. When arriving, we were greeted by homeless people. I definitely made me uncomfortable to stay. Especially at night, it felt like a night hotel in the hood The kicker! My partner and I came to RI for one day to relax and explore. When we tried to close the curtains, it seemed stuck. We called front desk to told them the situation, the young lady said “oh yeah. They don’t close. A lot of people complain about it”. So, people complain about this and you don’t fix it??? It’s like they want you to leave and wake up when the sun rises, but check out is at 12…? i tried my best to shut the lights out. I was so heated!

Dissatisfied

Hotel was disappointing 😞 Reception was not helpful with anything. Key card stop working to open the door , coffee cold , pastries were stale . I would never stay here again and was expensive for the area

This was a super convenient place to stay. Everyone was friendly and very accommodating. I was appreciative of the valet parking.

Very nice stay

Great stay, centrally located, friendly staff, nice coffee/cookie/water/ hot chocolate service 24/7. Nice to have full breakfast included. Gym was adequate, room was spacious, bathroom was fine, water was very slow to get hot, but otherwise it was all a nice place to stay and would stay again.

Great service! Great rooms! Will stay here again!

Initial room had tv that did not operate. The effort to extend my stay became complicated. The room had no safe that worked. The lobby desk was professional however.
