Staff was nice and welcoming. Room had two beds of which one was broken. Bathroom sink was cracked as well and bathroom corners could have been cleaned a bit better. Overall for the price acceptable I guess but a good bed would have been nice.

Unpleasant stay!
Carpet not clean, bed very uncomfortable and the bathroom terrible. Elevator buttons did not work.

This feels weird to complain about but the lights in the room were really bright and cool. I just wanted to relax after a long day on a business trip with a small dim light but instead it was like spotlights.. couldnโt dim them so it was either spotlights or complete darkness.

Review of the Microtel Inn & Suites Middletown
When we arrived at the Microtel Inn & Suites they didnโt have the room I reserved. Instead of admitting they overbooked the hotel, the Manager blamed Hotels.com, he claimed they didnโt send the correct room request, which was not true, I had a confirmation with the exact details.
What made this worse was the managerโs complete lack of initiative in trying to make things right. No effort to help us find a comparable room elsewhere, no genuine apology, just a vague offer for a discount on a much smaller room that didnโt meet our needs. It felt like they were hoping weโd just take what we could get and not make a fuss.
We ended up having to scramble for ourselves. It was incredibly stressful and disappointing. I understand overbooking happens, but the dishonesty and lack of customer care were unacceptable. I would definitely not stay here again.
However, Hotels.com customer service was great, and they did give me a refund.

Disappointed
Check-in was at 3 pm , room was still not ready at 4:30pm. When it was ready it was disgusting. Room was not cleaned and smelled like bleach and fish.

Roach motel
The room was in dire need of updating and replacing fixtures. The floor was cheap the chair had a huge stain on seat. ( looked sleezy) The beds were comfortable. The sink had all crackles and stains in it. We were willing to overlook because the room looked relatively clean otherwise. That was until the next morning when we saw a cockroach in the bathroom. We couldnt check out fast enough. We talked with front desk girl Meghan and relayed our concerns. She said she would relay to hotel manager. We still havenโt been notified by him. My advice stay away from this Microtel. Unfortunately for us now we will stay away from all Microtel.

They cancelled my booking within hours of my check in time. No assistance in finding any accommodation in any Wyndham hotels anywhere close. Just a โsorry, weโve cancelled your bookingโ.(said there was room damage) I will never book a stay at Wyndham ever again.

Service attendant was not available upon arrival for 30 minutes. The first room I was offered had curtains with rips and furniture damage and smelled. Given another room was ok tub had a slow drain. Noisy people in other rooms.

The room was so bad smell. Bed sheets had blood stains. All night people argued at the hallway and banging the door. It is not safe.
