When I walked in, Christie was overwhelmed (because the cleaning crew had quit, and she had to call in a girl off her vacation to come help clean the rooms to get them ready for the next guests. She was stressed for obvious reasons but handled the situation with kindness and professionalism.
The people who came to help (who didn’t even work there, deserves a lot more than a thank you. The employees that still work there deserve major bonuses and acknowledgements from the upper management. Treat your workers better, and you will have more of them.
