Bergamo is a beautiful place. Love the contrast of the Old Town against the new. Very clean and felt safe. Easy access to Milan via train. We travelled easily by train from Verona. Would highly recommend, and will definitely return to Bergamo.

Altogether, we loved the old city of Bergamo, a hidden gem in Northern Italy. It is both beautiful and charming, with a relaxed atmosphere and great shopping and dining opportunities. The baroque style-basilica is particularly impressive.

I absolutely love Bergamo. It's close to everywhere. You can take a day trip to Milan or Lake, or even to Verona. We absolutely love to stay there. There is plenty to see around this city as well.

Lovely city. Prefer the old town to the newer bit. Recommend it as a place to visit not just to fly to & head off to Milan or elsewhere instead.

Bergamo is really nice. I would recommend checking out the modern area of the city, not just the historical area.

Bergamo is a wondeful city to visit with historic and modern culture. It is diverse in population and have a university in the old city.
"A quiet, serene spot, right in the old city of Bergamo. There's a lovely, calm garden area, and our room was bright and welcoming, Though the bathroom wasn't en suite, it was private and spacious. It was a bit odd to not interact with any staff (there is an electronic check-in process), we didn't have any issues so there was no need to contact anyone. Very close to lots of restaurants and cafes and beautiful sites to explore. "
"This hotel was in the totally ideal place in Bergamo. A short walk from the railway station and another short walk into town. It was really well appointed with fantastic modern room, fully working air conditioning and fridge in the room. The breakfast was great. "
"Great hotel. I really enjoyed my stay at Citta Dei. Breakfast was a plus, with many options. Staff was very kind and helpful. The mattress was very comfortable. It is a little bit far from Citta Alta, but it was close to bus 1, that takes you there. I really enjoyed the breakfast!!!"
"Really surprisingly good hotel. Very convenient location in central bergamo, and very helpful staff. Hotel looked brand new in the rooms and was very clean throughout. Breakfast options were very good. I would definitely stay here again next time in Bergamo. Free wifi throughout the hotel."
