Good location, amazing staff. Worn down and filthy
The hotel was at a perfect location, walking distance to the city center with Duomo and the shopping streets. The staff was really friendly and helpful, spoke perfect english and payment was as agreed. The breakfast was okay, bottle juices, small packets of putter, boiled eggs, some bread pieces and crossants. To get coffee you had to get the kitchen personel get you some since they had the coffee machine in the back. The coffee was great! But even with nice personel and good coffee we cant hide the fact that this hotel is really worn down. Both hallways, reception, room and baths. The emergency exit on third floor was blocked and the patio behind the emergency exit door was used by the cleaning personell as a smoking balcony, just outside the window of our room. The room was at first sight looking okay until we checked under the bed and pulled the garbage bin to the side, dusty and filthy. The bedsheets was clean, so was the pillows. But there was no dubet, just sheets and some big blankets laying in the closets, they did not seem to have been washed. The bathroom was a story for itself. Mold in the shower, mold on some thread hanging from the ceiling in the shower, low water preassure and the temperature was like playing russian rulette. The toilet seat bolt was broken off so it was loose, the shelv under the mirror was nearmy hanging, with mold on the backside. Towels was clean and nice! Tiles was partly broken. All in all, if you just want a place to sleep, this is it.

Unfortunately, the hotel's hot water supply was not functioning during my three-day stay, leaving me unable to shower. These issues significantly impacted my comfort and overall experience.

Bem localizado! Banheiro bem pequeno.
O hotel Vecchia Milano é uma propriedade antiga muito bem localizada com acesso fácil à pé da estação Milano Cadorna, onde chega o trem do aeroporto de Malpensa e também próximo da estação Duomo do metrô. Também está próximo ao pontos turísticos de interesse. Banheiro é bem pequeno.

Kohtalaisen hyvä vanha hotelli hyvällä paikalla
Hotelli on melko huonokuntoisessa vanhassa talossa. Huone ja kylppäri olivat ahtaat, mutta toimivat. Sängyt olivat ok. Pientä pintaremppaa (ja muutakin) olisi tarvittu. Liinavaatteet olivat siistit ja vaihdettiin joka pv. Aamiainen oli hyvä. Hyvä hissi oli. Hiljaista oli ja rauhallista. Palvelu oli ystävällistä. Sijainti oli hyvä Cadornan juna-aseman ja Duomon välissä.

The hotel is very small and our room was rather cramped. The shower was very small, maybe 2ft by 2ft. One member of our group could not fit inside. The equipment in the bathroom was not well maintained. There was a great deal of road noise outside our room, from early morning to late in the evening. The hotel is well located. It is easy walking distance to the most popular sites. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The continental breakfast was good.

I really don’t think this hotel was good value for money at all. Yes it’s at a great location but that’s all that’s going for it. The rooms have very thin walls to the point I can hear people going to the toilet or having a phone call. There’s constant banging during the dah and at night from the cars going over a speed bump outside the hotel entrance. The room I had was very dim and damp, the window had shutters you couldn’t open so I just felt in the dark when I was there. The bathroom felt and smelt very damp and dirty, the shower kept going off randomly so I’d get wet feet whenever I walked in. The breakfast isn’t much, just some bread rolls and slices of meat. The door to your room is very flimsy as well. I think the only reason the hotel can get away with the price is because it’s a good location but I’d honestly look elsewhere.

Truth be told I wanted to leave a better review for this hotel. I saw beforehand all the negative reviews but I was thinking, this is kind of what to expect for cheaper booking. The ladies helping out with breakfast and room service were very nice. My issue was with the front desk person who charged me again for the booking at check out - not sure if I was getting gypped or if it was an honest mistake but shouldn’t he see it in their system that I had already paid at the time of booking (months ahead). I was only expecting to pay the city taxes the water bottles we took from the kitchen. When we checked out he charged me full price of the booking and when I tried to correct him, he became all accusatory and somehow blamed me and made it sound like it was my fault. I didn’t appreciate his tone and how big of a deal he made it out to be when he could have just focused on correcting the issue, instead he chose violence so early in the morning and it took him a long time to correct it cause he was grumbling thru it all, smh. I almost lost my Uber driver and made me late for my train. Overall, the room was okay but just make sure to check your charges at the end of the stay to make sure it’s all good, and hopefully you’ll have better patience than I did.

Very old charming building. Lovely stairs to our room on top floor— elevator available. “Balcony” a lovely opening but not big enough to step out onto—view of construction site. Skinny little street below with some traffic but not disturbing. Walkable to city center and to restaurants. Quite excellent breakfast. Friendly staff.
