Reviews gave this property a ‘wonderful.’ It’s not. The bed was really uncomfortable and I had to figure out where to sleep based on the springs. Overall, the property was fine. It’s about what you would expect for this price point, which works for a lot of people, but wonderful it is not.

Room For Imrpovement
The hotel is where it claims to be... a short walk away from Reeperbahn and a short walk from Millerntor Stadium/Heiligengeistfeld. My room was ready and was more or less what I'd expected, but the shower was very badly in need of maintenance (the shower head was not screwed on properly and many of the holes were clogged, probably with calcium deposits). There was also only one type of soap... no shampoo/conditioner/hand soap. The only bottle which had been on the sink said it was a body and hair wash combination. Another minor grievance is that keys are not to be taken off property, which often means a bit of a wait to retrieve the key upon return... I have to imagine there's a better way, one which might reduce waits for guests and reduce stress for the desk staff. (This was particularly inconvenient when I was stuck behind someone with a booking difficulty... not the fault of the hotel, necessarily, but something that could be improved) I was not wholeheartedly dissatisfied with my stay, as the room was clean and the location is good, and the price of a night is quite good, however, I warn fellow travelers to set expectations low to avoid disappointment.

Okay, but would not go back.
When we arrived, a lovely lady was at the reception and was very helpful and kind. The service was also okay on the other days. The most odd experience was their rule to leave your keys at the reception whenever you left the hotel and ask for them back when you wanted to enter your room. I’m sure the intentions for this are good, but I would recommend the staff to reconsider this policy in regard to the feeling of safety, especially for two young women in a room. It did not make me feel very safe having to say our room number out multiple times a day, in front of other guests, staff, and whoever, with no verification necessary when new staff were working. Our room was very small, and the cleanliness and state of the interior and furniture were nothing to be impressed by. Our bathroom door could barely close. Furthermore, you could hear neighbors very clearly in their rooms and hallway, which was not very nice. The facilities were okay considering the price, but I definitely won't be going back or recommending it to others.

This hotel is really overpriced ! They all do that in hamburg and there is no reason whatsoever to pay over 100 euros for a room that doesn’t have either refrigerator or a/c. Im very sorry. Ppl don’t learn a thing from the coronavirus. Only how to make money and a lot ! A room without a/c or fan for over 100 euros??? Are you nuts ?? No refrigerator ? Soon in summer what ppl will do in such a heat ? Also. I had to pay extra for breakfast. And not everything was fresh…. I really appreciate if the hotel will refund me the breakfast !

Estadia bastante razoável! A localização é muito boa, no bairro de san pauli, também conta com excelentes pubs envolta, o pub logo a frente do hotel é muito bom, recomendo. Café da manhã reforçado e bem servido.
