Everything was fine, for the most part. My only issues were that the shower door didn't do the best job of keeping the water in. As a result, the floor was wet each time after showering. Also, the tv in the room didn't work, and I repeatedly asked for someone to take a look at it. I was told that two requests were put in with maintenance staff, but they never came, and I was there for 8 days, which is a little disappointing.

The rooms and common areas were always very clean and quiet. The staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. We were very pleased with our stay at the Fairfield Inn in Columbus, MS and would absolutely recommend it to family and friends. We have stayed at 5 different hotels in the Columbus area with our daughter being in college nearby, and this property was by far the best for cleanliness, staff, and price.

They had an issue being struck by lightning. Not their fault, things happen. They gave me a lower level room and comp points. The elevator was still fried. The room was very clean. Staff was polite. Breakfast was okay. Loved they had yogurt but was looking for a bagel or muffin to add to it. Overall I will have to come that way often and I will book another room with them.

The staff was the best starting with Graham who checked us in, Samantha Bogan, the manager who came around at breakfast and spoke with and listened to everyone, and ending with the cleaning staff who were extremely joyful and pleasant as they prepared to work. As manager, Samantha set the tone for all the employees, showing concern for the guests and being very accommodating for issues caused by the lightning strike. Most important, the room was clean. My only suggestion is that they lower the shower curtain in the handicap accessible room to prevent water from spreading on the floor.

The desk staff was amazing. Very helpful from my first interaction with him. Even had a dolley at the in of the hall for easier transition. I didnโt like that I had to go and get more towels. When I did what was ask to receive more when housekeeping came around. Most definitely didnโt like what housekeeping came to my door when it was clearly a do not disturb hanger on door. They even proceeded to come in lucky it had the bolt in tact.
