Sirmione is well-known for its castle and ruins, featuring attractions such as Scaliger Castle and Santa Maria Maggiore. This historical city has something for everyone including sights like Center Aquaria Spa and Wellness Center and Grotto of Catullus within a secluded setting.
A must see in Italy. The castle is outstanding as well as the Roman ruins. Lago Garda is very large, so, it does not have the quaint feeling that is found on Lago di Maggiore, or, Lago di Iseo. But, lots to do around the lake.

Sirmione was busy during the day but was a great place to stay when you got out early in the morning. There is so much to do and so much choice in the way of restaurants and gelato shops.

Sirmione is very beautiful. We really enjoyed Aquaria thermal waters right on Lake Garda. To avoid crowds, don't go on a weekend.

There are way too many tourists in the old, historic town probably due to a ridiculous number of gelato vendors. They should probably think of introducing a tourist fee as Venice as done, or try another way to reduce the sheer numbers of people.

Lovely old town, very easy to walk about. Only a few minutes from the ferries onto Lake Garda and surrounding restaurants. We will be back.

We loved Sirmione, didn't expect too much but were pleasantly surprised.
"Great Hotel and staff. Friendly and helpful. Room was very nice and efficient Restaurant and breakfast buffet were very good. Very close to everything. "
"Perfect Location & Facilities. Staff are amazing.
The pool area has a beautiful view of the lake & plenty of sun beds in the sun & shade if preferred with a bar/restaurant for pool side enjoyment. Private access to the lake for hotel guests & a short walk to Jamaica Beach & the main town make this hotel the perfect location. Quiet & peaceful area. A special thanks to all the staff involved in helping me with a surprise for my partner. All round brilliant stay, if you’re looking for a location in lake garda, Sirmione is the place & Hotel Ideal is the cherry on top"
