Stopped here for one night on way from Exmouth to Perth, primarily to break up journey and secondly to view Stromatalites. On arrival, despite evidence of the booking on a piece of paper, the receptionist didn't know what we'd booked! It transpired that the Double Studio booked, with ensuite facilities & kitchenette, didn't exist. After over half an hour wait we were given a very small ensuite room (one quarter of a portacabin). To call this a unit is stretching the imagination.
We were told we could use the camp kitchen, which we did later to prepare a simple meal and weren't impressed by the facilities, many of them dirty; views shared by others there at the same time. After our Stromatolites walk we went to relax around the pool but we're told this wasn't open so we sat in the seating area in front of our room; the seats were ok but tables needed cleaning and there was dog faeces on the floor.
It's a good job we were prepared and had sufficient drinking water with us because no water at the site is consumable by humans - this information was displayed around the site but not in our accommodation.
Obviously no WiFi & unfortunately no Optus reception either!!!
If you want to boil a kettle ensure you have no other items using electricity. We were charging a phone & when using the kettle it kept tripping out.
Disappointing and certainly not good value for money - we paid far less in prime tourist areas and got far better and more importantly what we'd booked!
