This is an incredible property -- the owners, the staff, the breakfasts, the suite -- a rich, comfortable experience -- like coming home each day. The attention to detail -- the stay -- upon arrival to departure -- cannot be fully described -- it must be experienced first hand. We will be back!!

Excellent and Amazing

The entire staff were friendly and amazing, they go above and beyond. They were very helpful with making recommendations and booking private tours all over Yucatán. We had the staff arrangement a few tours for us and the tour guide (Raul and Alfonzo) were very professional, friendly and shared a lot of information about the Mayan History and the Culture of Merida Yucatán. Our tour guided provided cold water and bug spray as well. Since our tour starts early in the morning, the staff made us breakfast to go that are very delicious with fruits and snacks along with towels for the Cenotes. The Boutique was very cleaned and well kept with great breakfast that are freshly made, served and explained along with freshly cut fruits and salsas. Big shout out to Elly (sorry misspelled your name), Melissa and the whole staff for our incredible time and experience in Merida. We highly recommended the Diplomat Boutique and will return to Merida, Yucatán soon.

Best place to stay in Merida

It was one of the best stay in our travels - ‘a home away from home’. The room, location, gourmet breakfast is outstanding but what truly sets this place apart is the warmth of the hosts. Sara and Neil are so friendly, kind and knowledgeable. I wouldn’t even consider staying at a different place next time I am in Merida.

Great Merida Stay

Our stay was generally exceptional as the staff and owners were among the kindest people we have ever encountered. The overall atmosphere of the property was phenomenal- the gift shop was a neat touch. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding and the staff makes excellent lower sugar margaritas and mojitos. They were all very kind. Our biggest issue was bed comfort. Perhaps it may be time to update box springs or mattresses. Never have we woke up hurting every morning at a higher end property. We asked for an extra mattress topper, however, none was made available. Luckily, they offered a couples massage on site- which was much needed. We would stay here again, but perhaps we will look for a property with more comfortable beds and compare the overall experience.

Hôtel parfait avec des hôtes parfaits !

Hôtel charmant à Merida. Sara et Neil sont des hôtes parfaits, de très bons conseils sur Merida et la péninsule du Yucatan. Hôtel à taille humaine (5 chambres), on s’y sent comme à la maison. Encore un autre positif : le petit-déjeuner est exquis et change tout les jours. La décoration est recherchée et soignée. Vous pouvez réserver les yeux fermés.

If you are heading to Merida- this place is such a wealth of comfort, style and amazing people. The owners, sara and Neil have so much knowledge of the region and the local sights- it'a impossible to truly articulate what a special place this is from their hospitality to the environment, the beautiful design, the delicious food and the overall safety. Amazing boutique property. Sara & Neil, and their staff were 10's all around. They are so helpful and knowledgeable with anything you might need during your stay in Merida or anywhere in the Peninsula. Delicious home cooked breakfast of local cuisine everyday was an even bigger plus. Community pay as you go Beers and soft drinks. Hand crafted cocktails made to order poolside. Updated modern rooms, TVs with Netflix and local cable, soft sheets, nice bathrooms, and GREAT A/C. Uber anywhere in centro Merida within 10 mins. And most importantly, top notch, timely email communication with the hosts.
