My recent stay at this hotel was disappointing and fell far below my expectations, especially for the price charged. Upon entering the room, the first issue was glaringly obvious: one of the queen mattresses was severely uneven and sunken in on one side, making it unusable. No amount of blankets could disguise the noticeable sag.
Additionally, the room had several maintenance problems. The towel rack above the toilet was loose on both ends, the safety tub rail was wobbly at the top portion, and the shower knob’s wall plate was barely attached. These issues gave the room a neglected and poorly maintained feel.
The HVAC system added to the discomfort. The room temperature was unbearably warm, staying at 75 degrees in the middle of the night, despite outside temperatures being in the 30s. Per the notice posted by the thermostat, the system only runs on “fan” mode when cooling is selected, offering no real temperature control. To make matters worse, the window could only be cracked slightly due to structural restrictions, making it nearly impossible to cool the room.
Other disappointing details included the lack of basic amenities such as complimentary water bottles, a mini fridge, or a microwave. Instead, water bottles were priced at $2.99 each, which felt unnecessarily cheap for a hotel of this supposed caliber.
Overall, this stay was far from pleasant, and I would not recommend this hotel given the numerous issues and lack of value for the price.
