Perfect location for me. Didn't need to leave Yamagata station to gain access to the hotel. Also very close to the bus station for transferring on to Zao Onsen. The great thing about this hotel is it is just next to the JR station. You can access to the hotel without exposing to the sun or rain or snow. We had a quad room with 4 single beds. Quite disappointed that 2 of the beds are actually foldable beds which are not as comfortable as fixed beds.

Wrhis was our second time. We stayed here last year in March also liked this hotel very much, especially after staying at the hotel where the real estate was very expensive; so, we not only didn’t have a closet, or space to walk to get to other side of the bed.

The hotel says it has a spa on its advertised amenities but it does not. This makes it an expensive option compared to equivalent hotels.

The South Tower was a recent add to the property and the lobby leading to the lift lobby had a display of Yamagata products which was very classy.
