From the moment we arrived at the Mayfair House Hotel & Garden, we were impressed. The entrance is warm and inviting, with a beautiful wood-carved front door and unique check-in at a round table in a rotunda. The elevators are modern—just swipe your card, select your floor, and the screen tells you which elevator to take.
We upgraded to an Eden Suite, which was definitely worth it. The blackout curtains were amazing, and the room’s design felt fresh and stylish. The outdoor terrace was lovely, though the outdoor shower only had cold water. The eco-friendly touches, like complimentary water in cardboard cartons, were great, and the pour-over coffee in the room was a perfect start to our mornings.
We enjoyed the hotel’s bar, restaurant, and rooftop, all of which were fantastic. The pool area is cozy, though seating is limited. The water was refreshing, though quite cold!
A few small drawbacks: the outdoor shower didn’t get hot, the pillows were flat, and the sheets felt a bit stiff. Also, a spot underneath and behind the sink was missed during cleaning.
Overall, the Mayfair House has tons of character and thoughtful details—it’s a unique and decadent place to stay.
