As a handicapped individual (I use a mobility walker), accessibility is important to me.
The Microtel Inn & Suites in Rochester, Minnesota was the BEST Accessible room that I have had all summer--and I've stayed at more than 10 different hotels/ motels this summer. Our room had a very accessible bathroom, with a bench in the shower and with lots of grab-bars to assist me. The bedroom was especially great. The room had a long, cushioned bench in front of the window for setting items on. Then it had an extra sink in the bedroom with a nice wide counter to set things on, plus a desk. So I didn't have to set my suitcase or other items on the floor. Also it had several cubby holes that were waist high to store things in. All in all, it was a very accessible and very comfortable room.
