Booked an executive room, the space wise it is okay, but no place to keep the suitcase, so I have to keep it on the floor. No tissues were available in the room. Breakfast option is very limited, nothing much to choose from.

I enjoyed my five-week stay at Astoria Hotel, primarily because of hospitality, professionalism, and respectfulness of the staff. I also especially enjoyed the restaurant’s included breakfast buffet and the dinner buffet option. The location was ideal for me as I was conducting research at the Maharashtra Archives but also near other important Mumbai sites. I stayed in two different rooms; the second one featured beautiful gold blackout curtains, apparently new. My only recommendation would be to install more electrical outlets for those guests who need to do computer work while staying there. The lobby and eventually the dining room were being remodeled (they moved the dining room to another space temporarily), and I will look forward to enjoying those renovations should I return. There seemed to be a lot of construction in the neighborhood with a new Metro stop being built nearby and a building next door, and that coupled with the interior renovations (which did not inconvenience me at all) seemed to speak of a growing and thriving Mumbai. I recommend this hotel to any traveler who wants to stay in the heart of Mumbai at a reasonable rate for a big cosmopolitan city.

A clean hotel close to local train station
The hotel is located at a very convenient and centrally located only 5 min walk to Churchgate station. Flora Fountain and Nariman Point sea front 15 to 20 minute walk. the staff at the hotel are helpful and polite. The breakfast served is mostly Indian but boiled eggs and omelletes of your choice is prepared and served by staff at your table.The staff at the reception, dinning area and the cleaners are pleasant and helpful. My stay at the hotel was very good and this is why I returned here again.

Hotel location is good when you have work in Town area. Staff is friendly and helpful. Was given a room which had nice and new washrooms. Only area to improve is the Wi-fi connnectivity in the room, which didnot work for me.

Our stay at the hotel felt like being at home. The staff were courteous and helpful. A good selection of Indian and continental breakfast was served everyday. The hotel is conveniently located close to Churchgat train station and a short distance from the buzzing Flora Fountain with a selection of good shops and street traders offering menswear and household goods. The staff were very nice, and the room was fine. A decent room for the price. The only flaw in our experience was that the hotel was not able to take a cash payment of 2000 rupees for a 1500 rupee meal, because they 'didn't have change'. This created a need for us to pay with credit card, which we didn't want to do. Otherwise, the food was outstanding at the restaurant, and the hotel was very nice. Great location near the terminus of one of the main subway lines, too!

Hotellet var ren, personallet var høflige og hjelpsomme, frokost var god. Hotellets beliggenhet var veldig sentralt. Men....det luktet ny maling på rommet som var kjempe ubehagelig. På dagtid var det total umulig å hvile grunnet arbeid på nabø rommet. Det var mye riving og mye støy, helt umulig å oppholde på rommet. Internett var ikke veldig raskt og av dårlig kvalitet.
