The Deluxe room was very spacious, tall and had good air condition. The bathroom was well equipped and had a window Swimming pool was very nice and good size. Morning and evening swim were relaxing. Breakfast was good and had many varieties. I recommend this hotel to singles, couples and families.

After reading the reviews we expected it to be a bit tatty. Our room was spacious, with two rooms for a family of 4. The balcony door was not secure and let in ants. Our belongings are covered in ants, we only realised how bad it was once we left for the airport. Our hand luggage is was crawling. Grim

We enjoyed our stay.The food was very good, breakfast fine the staff friendly and helpful.An elegant hotel which seems to have been recently refurbished though the bathroom door was difficult to open wide as it caught on the floor.Very conveniently situated for Herculaneum, the railway station and the motorway network.We would stay again.

It’s a 15-minute walk from Ercolano Scavi station, though Portici-Ercolano station offers more frequent and cheaper trains, about a 25-minute walk or a quick cab ride away. The hotel itself is charmingly quirky—like a grand mansion with a faded elegance. Our room was spacious with high ceilings and a patio with ocean views, though the patio lacked furniture and needed some maintenance. The bathroom was large but had no shower, only a bathtub. The grounds were beautiful, with ruins and a pond, though a bit overgrown, adding to its character. The pool was lovely but not perfectly maintained, with slippery tiles. Breakfast was included but basic, offering cold options that were the same each day. The staff was helpful, especially with arranging cabs, though the laundry service only operates on weekdays, something to keep in mind. Despite the quirks, I’d stay here again for the location and unique atmosphere. If you appreciate charm over polish and are willing to adapt, it’s a memorable place to stay.

The breakfast was not fresh. The building was unkempt and all the surrounding. It's a shame because it had lots of potential but no one is interested. The bathroom facilities were really old, rusty and the shower doors were not closing fully. It does need a good renovation.

Great place to stay in Ercolano
Excellent hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful planning excursions. Our room was huge with plenty of space for three people and a handicapped scooter. Parking was safe and convenient. Location was only 3 blocks from the Herculaneum archeological site and close to restaurants. Breakfast was also very good. We loved the architecture of the hotel.

There was not english speaker at the reception. The rooms were old and had black mold from the air conditioner. Shower didn't have courtain and was moldy all over. The lamps weren't working floor was dirty. The outside is not just a old is run down. This is false advertising. Breakfast was not good. We had to move.

Old style charm and amazing staff
This hotel is stunningly beautiful, albeit has clearly seen better days. In many ways this adds to the charm (and the price - if fully restored this would be MUCH more expensive I am sure) The best thing though is the staff - incredibly helpful and friendly. The location is a short distance from the amazing ruins at Herculaneum and convenient for restaurants in the small town of Ercolano and a short (and cheap) train ride from Pompeii and Napoli
