Short Trip to Taos
Hacienda del Sol is an amazing Bead and Breakfast in Taos, we have stayed at many times. The buildings have a rich history in the area. The rooms are nice, and clean. The property itself is indeed an old historic building and shows it. Location is good, and quiet. Breakfasts are amazing! Very friendly staff. Certainly will stay here again

Pictures are deceiving
The hotel needs updating, like bathroom fixtures which are loose. Breakfast was excellent and the attendant was very nice and helpful. The room cost was on the high end. We had another room, El Pueblo that is in need of maintenance. The toilet moves when you sit on it. The tub/shower drain is clogged, very unsanitary. The whole bathroom needs to be redone. The sink has a crack. Also, we were not able use the fireplace even though the hotel pictures showed the available fireplace.

This is a B&B that sets the standard for others to follow. We thoroughly enjoyed our check-in experience (completely automated, did not meet anyone in person, with an attentive text-based concierge ready to help). Our room was culturally authentic (adobe & tile) and well-decorated and equipped. And the breakfast was worth the entire trip to Flagstaff! The Love Apple being right next door was amazing, too. Such lovely views of the mountains, collegial guest neighbors, and self-picked fresh apples – this was an idyllic stop along our journey through the Southwest.

Amazing Place, Great Room
This is an adorable little place to stay! We did a super late check in but the rooms are set up with a code and are easy to access from the parking area - each room has their own parking spot, which is great - so a late check in was no problem. Large comfortable room called Los Amantes. Tons of space and a jetted tub. There aren't a ton of amenities but it isn't that kind of hotel. Easy access to the best parts of Taos! If I could offer a single suggestion: mix up the breakfast menu a bit. It was a nice hearty breakfast, but it would be nice if it was different from day to day.

Great property. Love the self check in. Any staff we encountered were very friendly. The grounds are lovely. The breakfast one of the best we have had. A few minor details would be more attention to cobwebs in corners and lotion in the bathrooms. Otherwise a great stay.

This facility didn't meet my expectations: 1-Other than the breakfast staff, there is no staff present to welcome guests & answer questions. 2-I made my reservation based on the claim use Cotton sheets, but the fact is they are Chinese microfiber, which does not breathe; I only got 3 hours sleep as a result. 3- in a day when everyone loves specialty coffees, there was only standard coffee (you should install a Nespresso machine in the dining area for customer self servie. On the plus side: Grounds & rooms are lovely, breakfast chef was wonderful.
