One of the best rooms we've stayed in!
Because of my wife being unwell, we spent much more time in the hotel room than intended. What a good job that this was one of the best rooms we have stayed in, half the price of London rooms for double the size. We were aware of the announcements from Lime Street station, but given we were on the 5th floor, it was back ground noise. All the staff we had direct contact with were excellent and couldn't be more helpful. The breakfast was OK (we didn't have cooked, so can't comment on it). I also ate in the attached bar which was pub food well done.

The Liner is a fantastic family owned hotel just behind Lime Street station (a hidden gem maybe). The hotel had everything we needed for a night away, the room was well maintained and clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Great location. Friendly staff. Parking was a huge bonus. Bar and restaurant very good. A little noisy overlooking road. Decor is a bit tired. Mattresses were uncomfortable and need replacing.
