the hotel is below Grand Hyatt standards, run down and old. The staff are friendly but lack basic English communication for an international chain. bed is comfortable and pillow options are available. getting up to the room is a hassle, you need to go up to the 22nd floor and then change elevators to go back down to your room. The location of the hotel was pretty good, but I would recommend staying at the room facing the park, our room faced the road in which you can hear car honk and construction noise. We booked non-smoking room, but they cannot provide the requested room type on the day of check-in. This is not acceptable for a star hotel. They should not accept booking if cannot provide. Also when we have breakfast in the morning, this is first time no staff leading us the a table. They just asked for the room number and let us go in and find the table ourselves. We walk around and cannot find a suitable table and need to request staff the move the table eventally.

Super slow checkin, I waited for almost an hour to get into my room despite I check in at 3 pm, because the staffs had not yer cleaned up the room. Hygiene condition inside was bad with hairs on sofa, toilet with urine smell, biscuit on floor. Beds are so small that I have to add a bed for an extra 230 RMB per night. They didn’t refill my towels and tissue paper eveyday. In sum, this is not the service I would have expected for a 5 star hotel.

some constructive comments for improvements
The overall impression was good. In general, the staff team is polite . One disappointment was that I was being told when check in that the price per person for breakfast was $130 if booked before having it but when I try to bring 1 more business partner guest to breakfast the last morning we stay there, the reception counter staff charged me $198 extra instead of $130 saying only for the first time that pre booking had to make 1 day earlier despite the fact that I told the restaurant staff about the extra booking before entering the restaurant. Another shortfalls were that the air conditioning in my room seemed not functioning well making us sweating all night and the TV volume was unbelievably low and hardly audible even with a two inches distance. I do hope that these were single instances . Apart from that the overall standard and location of the hotel is good. I do hope that our next stay at your hotel when I bring my management team of around 6 more persons from 16/7 to 20/7 will not let me down again and proves your hotel to be responsive to constructive comments for future loyal customers
