Home away from home
The Legacy Inn felt like home. If you're looking for a quiet getaway that's in the heart of downtown Luray then I would highly recommend them. This has been my second visit and I will be a staying again in the very near future!

Nice place, responsive support, but a few issues
The Inn is recently renovated and nice. We enjoyed our stay, but there were a few operational issues that the management needs to resolve. We have some feedback. After booking we received an email to complete an online check-in with our govt identity. However, the emails we received had the various links all merged together, and therefore clicking on them resulted in broken links. Eventually I was able to reconstruct the check-in link and manual enter it into my browser to complete the check-in. It said I'd be emailed a door code to the house and our room, but I never received those. A few hours before our arrival I called the support phone number, and someone answered quickly. She was able to send out the door code for me, and we were able to get into the building and our room without issues. When we arrived there were no toiletries at all, no soap/ shampoo/etc. I called back and again someone answered quickly, but we didn't get an answer until the next morning which told us to look in an upstairs closet. There was only 1 bar of soap left there. Other: 1. We were in the Bonnie & Clyde room, and there is a large window over the door from the lobby. The result is a lot of light shines into the room at all times. 2. The shower has no soap dish or place to set shampoo. You have to set them on the floor. 3. There are no nightstand lamps. 4. We were there the weekend before Halloween, and the building outside our window was operating as a Haunted House (not the Inns fault).

The property was a pleasant surprise. Very clean, wonderful bed and sheets. However, the check/in process was multi stepped and laborious. This needs to be simplified!

This is NOT an Inn! It is a short-term rental unit. You will have to sign a 5 page rental agreement to get a pass code for entry. Expedia is misleading (fraudulent) in marketing this facility. There is no staff at the facility. Minor problems with WiFi and heating system became nightmares as no one here to service guests. The staff is in another state (Georgia) and knows little about the facility. The attempt to fix WiFi took dozens of text message - including delayed responses at 2 am and 12:30 am awakening me from sleep to ask me to try something else to repair their WiFi. It never worked. I was on my own to figure out how to get the room temp above 65 degrees. This is a great location and a small room in a nice little house, but it is priced like an Inn that should have staff and service. It does not. I feel ripped-off!

The place is only accessed throuh key coded doors. Had to call message service to get codes, and took two calls and 40 minutes to get into our room. Totally impersonal and not what we expected.

Excellent Stay
We are very picky with cleanliness and this place truly met our expectations. The suite and common areas were spotless, we haven't experienced those standards for a while even on 5/4 star hotels. The attention to detail, the set up, the amenities, everything was amazing. The mattress were a bit soft for our liking but it's not their fault it's our preference. Dont lower your standards and the you'll see that The Legacy Inn will be their for years to come. Thank you for taking pride of the Legacy Inn and making our stay so enjoyable.

We booked an inside room and were emailed the day of arrival that the room had a plumbing issue We were then given a room that had outside access. No one else was staying at the hotel and we were the only people on the property. We did not feel safe staying there. We were denied any refund even though we called the hotel number and explained the situation. We were not offered another room and we never unpacked a single item.

Legacy Inn
The transom window in the Bonnie and Clyde room allows too much light in the room for good sleeping; a guest decided to spend the night on the lobby sofa and we could hear them listening to videos and surfing the night most of the night; the ad says the room has blackout curtains - they are NOT blackout and there are a ton of windows in this room so there is way too much light; there was an ant problem in the bathroom. However, this is a very nice place overall and a great location.

A cut above the others
It was nothing short of lovely. Everything was fresh and clean. They have a good, contactless entry and check-in system. The room was spotless. The bed linens were luxurious and comfortable. The bathroom was newly remodeled and outfitted with thick, soft towels and high-end soaps. The coffee bar in the common area offered a variety of hot and cold beverages as well as some nice snacks. I stay in the area often and have tried a number of other hotels. While the orhers were adequate, The Legacy Inn is a cut above. Ill be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

My neighbor and I had planned to get away, we had the dates picked out, but the destination was TBD. We landed on the idea of winery hopping and shopping in Luray, VA. We live near DC, so it is a bit of a drive, but a cute and quaint destination. We found The Legacy Inn and knew it was the spot for us. It was within walking distance to shopping, but had a river view and a fire pit to relax next to and talk the day away. I have so many great things to say about The Legacy Inn, the bed and breakfast vibe is so welcoming, the common areas are inviting and the beds are so soft, you just melt right into them. We stayed in the Parton Suite- an homage to Dolly herself! It was just right, a 2 bed suite, with a full shower and mini fridge. My favorite was sipping coffee and eating freshly provided pastries on the front porch. It was beautiful to sit and enjoy the beauty of the long driveway and green lawn, we even saw a bunny. If you are looking for a getaway, with a loved one or a girlfriend, this is a place to stay and enjoy the comforts of home. Thanks for having us!
