I had an overnight layover in eze and picked Ana’s as my flight was delayed. I was put in a great apartment and then after a few hours after I arrived Ana told me that she put me in the wrong room so I had to move upstairs to a smaller room.
When I got back from my trip weeks later, I checked my credit card and realized that I had been charged for the room even though I paid her cash for it. She gave me the price with a credit card and it was significantly more expensive but somehow it was still charged.
I tried to contact the property through hotels.com and no one responded so then I tried to get my money refunded through hotels.com and they said they tried numerous times to contact the property and they couldn’t get through. But the price on my card is what she quoted me.
So instead of paying 67.50$ for the room I ended up paying $147.50 for a few hours as my flight was early the next morning.
I am not sure if it was intentional or a mistake. Ana was lovely but the fact I was double charged is an issue.
So ensure that you pay on the app and not at the property to avoid the issue as hotels.com can’t refund if you pay at the property
