You can normally get a pretty good value stay here during the summer, buuut with some caveats. The staff were lovely, no complaints there - but the room itself had some problems.
The main issue was that it was very hot, and it wasn't possible to have both the window open and the blinds drawn. (It is loud outside - you're next to train tracks - but I can deal with noise. Not heat!) The staff couldn't provide me with a fan when I asked.
It was a little bit too easy to hear what was going on in the corridor, so while the walls weren't thin, the doors were.
The shower was bad. The showerhead was gammed up with limescale, the door had unhooked and I couldn't get it back in, and the automatic light kept turning off while I'm in the shower (it was *pitch black*).
Lastly, the mattress was thin and uncomfortable, and the provided bedsheets were loose so the duvet and pillows kept falling out.
