I booked two nights, July 4-5, Thursday and Friday. Friday morning, I went to front desk to ask if I could switch to another room, because my current room was too small, my husband and I couldn’t work together. The bathroom door can’t be closed, and the closet door can’t be closed either.
The lady was friendly and said no problem! I told her I wanted a room with a sofa, and I would like to pay for the difference. I asked how much the difference was, she said $20. I said no problem.
She asked me to check out my current room and she would give me a new room, and I asked if I had to wait until 15:00 to check in again, she said no, she had an available room now.
After that, she spent a long time to making me a membership, actually I don’t want it if I know it cost me so long time standing in the front des.
She asked my credit card again, and I gave her, I thought she wanted to charge the new room deposit, but when I asked her if that was for the room deposit, she said I booked only one night online!
I showed her my booking confirmation, she just said it’s weird again and again, and I waited for almost one hour, she said the money would be returned in several business days.
However, nothing happened! I left a message with the hotel, the GM sent me an email and said she would return my money, but after several days, nothing happened. When I sent email to ask her, no response!
Now, July 26, I saw the small deposit $40 was released, but the extra room fee $200 wasn’t returned.
