The most delightful discovery of this trip to Chongqing was none other than the Mitang Resort Hotel hidden deep within Shibatang. It perfectly blends historical heritage with modern luxury, offering us an unforgettable urban secret experience. The building itself is a work of art. As one of Chongqing's first outstanding historical buildings, this old Western-style house, built in the 1950s, retains precious historical features such as old slogans and wedge-shaped brick arches, with every detail exuding a unique sense of period drama. Adjacent to the former site of the French Consulate, it adds an extra touch of exotic charm.
