We paid twice what you’d have expected for this type of poor accommodation; we relied on the photos and didn’t want to stay at a nearby Best Western. Decent, reasonably priced hotels are hard to come by in the area. It was an uncomfortable stay. The room was listed as the “Romantic Cabaret” room; there was nothing romantic about this run down, dirty and freezing room. The carpets were dirty and in need of vacuuming, the shower power lacked power, the shower head was moldy, the street lights shone through the curtains all night, the heat was off until the morning while it was minus 3 overnight. The bed was uncomfortable with cheap bedding. The rooms are above the pub; they look like a bad DIY job. We ate at the pub; the food and drink was acceptable, and the service friendly, and the stay included a decent breakfast. However, I would never recommend the place for accommodation.
