After 3 days in Rome, my husband and I spent a night here and should have stayed much longer as it took us from 5th gear down to 1st. On our first day we arrived early hoping to check our bags but were able to check in at 11 am and were invited to have some of the breakfast buffet, which included about 10 different homemade cakes and pastries, made to order eggs and bacon, fresh tomatoes, cured meats, and cheeses. Moreno, who I believe is the owner, sold us wine fom his collection. When we purchased a bottle, he opened it for us and prepared a tray with two glasses along with a selection of cakes and breads for us to enjoy with the vino on the deck overlooking farmland. He loaned us a lighter for my husband's cigar, a speaker for the iPhone, and called down the road to make us dinner reservations at a nearby restaurant that took pride in serving entrees prepared from fresh local ingredients. Although we didn't get the chance to ask, it is obvious this hotel was designed by professionals and the proprietors keep it in immaculate condition. The location, as part of agri-tourism, is a bit remote (which was the appeal to us), but 15-20 minutes from Monte Argentario. It is a very easy 2 turns and a few miles off of the main drag, with clear signs. Overall, this was the highlight of our trip. We highly recommend you stay at this gem before Rick Steve's discovers it and makes it impossible to get a reservation.
