an amazing last minute stay when our flight was cancelled, Fillipa was very helpful and accommodating , helping to call us taxis and navigate the city. the pool is lovely and refreshing and the morning breakfast buffet was delicious!

Outstanding boutique bed and breakfast hotel, the staff were lovely, and the quality of the rooms was excellent. Pool area is excellent for a relaxing afternoon, the viewpoint is a short hike worth doing once, and the distance to downton Ponta Delgada was manageable. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely family operated property with a more authentic Portuguese experience than staying in a bigger hotel. All staff were so pleasant and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent! Need a car to get around but well located to get off to all areas of the island. Highly recommend.

Cannot say enough good things about this wonderful place. Room was gorgeous, setting and facilities are lovely, staff is super helpful. It’s just an A plus all around. Be aware that it isn’t right in town so you’re better off with a car or you can taxi — it’s not walkable.

We chose azores for our 25 year wedding anniversary, the staff at Quinta da Abelheira was very helpful, helped us with car rental reservation and spa reservation. On our special day we were treated with champagne and a cake. can't wait to go back!

This is a lovely place to stay just outside the main town on Sao Miguel. We loved it. The staff was warm and welcoming, and couldn’t have done more to have made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. Moura is a gem. The breakfast is fantastic, and after a day of hiking, we enjoyed relaxing by the pool. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel was clean and the staff were very welcoming. The breakfast was the best we had in Portugal but it lacked a variety of vegan options. The rooms were nice however felt damp. The shower seemed to leak which may have contributed to that. The sliding bathroom barn door was very noisy and not ideal when trying not to disturb others. The room could have used a luggage rack and microwave.

We have travelled and stayed in many places around the world. By far, this property is a gem. Several key details make Quinta da Abelheira a unique stay, starting with the staff. The front desk helped us arrange the most stupendous dinners at restaurants across the island. Not only did they easily and quickly give great suggestions, but they booked them all for us over the course of the week we were there. The second great detail is the breakfast. Not many places have daily included breakfasts with great views and a changing menu. It's one of the key reasons we booked the hotel and boy were we blown away by it. Fresh cheese, fruit, jams, and bread, not to mention on one day we had some meats they were grilling outside that morning. The room of course is breathtaking and extremely comfortable. It had two independent minisplit units (heating and cooling), fresh fruit daily, coffee, wine, and blackout shades. The grounds have gorgeous architecture, like the massive stone pillar in front of the pool. We heard the story of how that was brought in and thought it was extra cool (by crane, from the pineapple plantation next door). Finally and most intriguing is their EV van. The hotel has a brand new ID. Buzz from VW, with an onsite Level 2 charger. Coolest van ever. The cats are also nice.
