Moved to this hotel after four nights at the Thompson Savannah (fabulous hotel!) for work, as we wanted to be closer to historic Savannah. The hotel itself is old and is pretty run down. Our room, the elevators, common areas, and the hotel’s one restaurant desperately needs cosmetic work and to be refreshed. Our room was dusty and dirty. Surfaced cleaned at best. Chipped spackle patches and chipped paint on the walls. Paint on the very old wood floors. The bathroom walls have drip marks down them as well as toothpaste spray from others on the vanity walls. Hardware is loose on the shower door and bathroom doors. Lampshades were broken and there were several stains on the chair and ottoman in our room.
Also, the hotel is located downtown and it is very noisy there. Cars blasting radios, delivery trucks, motorcycles, trolleys with speakers, boats, street performers - all are right below the doors/windows of the hotel.
