I recently stayed at the katrina’s castle hotel in Santorini and couldn't be happier with my experience. The location is unbeatable, offering stunning views and easy access to all the key attractions. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, going out of their way to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Santorini!

Property shot downs after sunset while every other place was open and lit up. Not amenities at all. If something happens nobody was there to help you. The only good thing was the sunset view. The town was safe but not the hotel. Poor management. We were the only guest over there. Scary experience.

Incredible stay at Katerina’s castle, staff were amazing and the views incredible, would recommend everyone to stay here, great connections to Oia and Fira. Also the catamaran excursion organised through the hotel was amazing the sunset was beautiful.
If you come to Santorini you have to stay here!!

Would definitely stay here again!
Myself and my partner loved staying at Katerinas Castle. The views were absolutely incredible and the hotel owner Thomas and his family treated us like we were family and went out of their way for us on a daily basis. I will definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Santorini and recommend it for anyone else looking to stay in Imerovigli!

Great view, small uncomfortable rooms, poor staff
The view is one of the best on the island but that is about the only positive aspect. We had a tiny room in which you could hardly move, even smaller bathroom which got soaked everytime you have a shower. 2 single beds pushed together instead of a double. A window in the top of the room which opened into a passage which was noisy. No breakfast included. Not even a welcome drink. The owner only spoke to us when trying to sell tours (which we found much cheaper elsewhere).

Wonderful family run place with excellent service
The hotel is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of Santorini with amazing views of the Caldera and the ocean. The hotel is nice and well run. The owner Thomas and his Father are always there to make sure they can provide anything you might need. They are really friendly and really made us feel like we were visiting family or old friends.
The rooms are a bit small due to the nature of these non-standard buildings but it totally did not bother us as we spend most of the time wandering around the island, however the excellent service we received and even the help from the owners doing reservations for tours, transportation and transfers totally make up for that. We overall loved our stay and would definitely be back.

Nice Place
This is a small hotel runs by a family. We stayed here for 5 days and very much enjoyed it. The hotel has caldera view and you can see the volcanoe, far away town of Oia and the Skaros Rock. You can also see Thirasia island as well. The trail to Fira and Skaros rock is within few steps from the hotel. The convenience store is just 5 mins walk uphill. You can get beers, wines, bottle of water and snacks at very reasonable price there. The bus stop to Oia and Fira is in the same area as well. You can also enjoy sunset from the hotel. And the older gentleman who works at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. He gave us general information about santorini and where to visit. Every morning he served us very good coffee and tasty small bites for free. At one time, he even gave us a big bottle of water for free. I highly recommend this place.

Great place to stay if Jimmy is working.
Jimmy really understands how to take care of his guests. Thomas not as much. The hotel is charming but doesn't have the amenities of other establishments. On the other hand it is clean, well taken care of and is a great value for cost.

Good value rooms at the edge
We had two rooms for 4 nights. The beds are cheap and hard so we put the blanket under us for padding. Only one room had a fridge, the twin bed room wouldn't fit one. Rooms are small, but have the traditional cave character. It can be a bit noisy at times in the corridors and you can hear people walking on the path above.
There is a private terrace with a great view of the caldera. Thomas and his father, Dimitri are lovely hosts and their staff are friendly, too.
Overall, good value for the position.

Okay hotel with an excellent view!
The hotel is well located and has an amazing view! The room itself was quite small, cramped and without windows, unless you count the unusual chimney window where some natural light (and sounds from the cafe area) come in. Thomas and his father was very friendly and helpful with information about the island and suggestions for transport. The hiking route to Skaros starts just a few hundred meters down the slope and there is a bus stop (most cost effective way to get around) a short walk from the hotel. This is a good hotel choice if you just want a place to sleep and shower and spend the rest of your time exploring the island.

don't expect a lot
it has to be admitted that the sea view of the shared balcony is extraordinary and fantastic but, what a pity, there is no private balcony as described.

expensive for a night without pool and wifi
+ beautiful view
+ good cleanliness
+ friendly
+ I get the best room with windows which have good ventilation.
- rooms are small and other rooms without windows. Very damp which full of smell and without ventilation.
- poor wifi which cant connect all the time. Only at certain common areas.
- no swimming pool.
- very simple continental breakfast. Should provide at least scramble eggs or omelette.
Overall too expensive just for a beautiful view which can get the same price and same view from Oia or fira with pool and workable wifi.

Best caldera sunset view with best host in town
We highly recommend this place, we enjoyed our breakfast every morning of our 3 days stay. The staff and owner are commendable and very friendly and helpful. Whilst everyone else is running around to get the best sunset view, we just sat on our balcony with our cold drinks and enjoy the peace each evening.

Friendly budget hotel in fantastic location
This is a small family run hotel in a traditional cave structure hollowed out of the hills of Santorini. The rooms are, accordingly, quite small and do have an earthy character. The family team running the hotel are exceptionally warm and friendly and added to our experience of Greece. Katerina's Castle has a wonderful location and there are plenty of great restaurants nearby. Do not book this hotel if you are looking for 5 star accommodation. However, if you are looking for a cheaper and interesting alternative you could not go past this hotel. We also think you may be more comfortable in the front rooms which have windows to the caldera. All in all well worth it for the view and people alone.

Stay at Katerina's Castle
This was a lovely hotel. The rooms are small but very clean, and you likely won't spend much time in them. There is wifi on the balcony with a beautiful view. Thomas and his father are both very friendly and welcoming. We stayed three nights and were able to experience much of what Santorini has to offer. The bus stop is located only about 1-2 minute walk from the hotel and will take you wherever you need to go.

Excellent view.Unique experience.
Absolutely disapointed of the room.No related to the photo I was shown in your site.I recomend you to check every detail of the hotels that you propose. The island of Santorini is magnifisant, espesially at this spesific location of Imerovigli and also at Ia location.People are very nice and kind but the prices need to be better. Finally I would like to say that my experience was almost satisfying thanks to my company and to the amazing view , enviroment and food that I tasted.
