Free shuttle but no breakfast until 7am
Good location and free shuttle bus to airport terminals. We only had to wait a few minutes to check-in. For an airport hotel we felt that breakfast started very late - 7am. The doors to the breakfast room were firmly shut until exactly 7am, even though staff could see we were waiting to enter. On a plus they did have a pancake machine, with freshly made pancakes available, plus a range of hot and cold breakfast items.

Overall good spot.
The hotel overall was good. The rooms are a little on the smaller side but luckily i was only travelling with one hand luggage. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. Toiletries were basic (shampoo/body wash). Breakfast was okay - nothing spectacular but fills you up. My only complaint was the coffee machine. No matter what option I chose, I couldnt get more than 1/3 of a mug. The free airport shuttle is great. We called when we landed and they came within the 15 minutes the front desk said they would. Shuttle was already available the next day when we went to head back.

Ok for short stay only
Only access to lobby is behind a gate, so taxi couldn't drop me off at entrance. The only outlets were on the far side of the room and not any in the bathroom. Sign in elevator advertised kitchen open until 10:30 pm, but was told by the bartender at 10pm that nothing was available. Appreciate that breakfast bag was available to take for early departure. Would not stay here again except for the shuttle to the airport

ibis just for one night
Cet hôtel de chaîne est intéressant pour son emplacement pres de l'aéroport, son parking en sous-sol et son transfert en minibus gratuits et le petit déjeuner en sachet compris pour des départs matinaux. Valable pour une nuit seulement. Accueil assez professionnel. Chambre au confort minimum et pas de produits d'accueil. Deux serviettes seulement. Une bouilloire mais pas de tasses, ni de verres ! Curieux pour un hôtel de chaîne d'origine française. Tarif trop élevé pour ce type d'établissement et par rapport à des hôtels bulgare du même type : le double ou presque !

The hotel and restaurant were wonderful. We were unable to use the shuttle service from the airport to the hotel so we had to walk. It's doable but not pleasant with luggage. Taxi wanted cash only!

Rude & Terrible shuttle service DRIVER.
I arrived in Sofia airport and requested for a pick-up from the airport. We were told it’ll be 15 mins. I waited for a full hour before I finally saw a van with the Ibis sign. The driver was dropping someone off and was about to leave when I approached him - I was very annoyed and disappointed. I voiced my opinion when it had taken him an hour when I was told it would be 15 mins. I don’t mind waiting but be honest with me. It I was told 15 mins, I expected it to be either on time or 10-15 mins late but with an explanation. Not 45 mins late and was then screamed at the entire way to the hotel by the rude, obnoxious drive. He is an absolutely arrogant and represents your hotel extremely poorly. I told him I had called him 2 times on the hotel shuttle mobile number he refuted it. Even after I had shown his the missed calls. He continued to argue with him and shouted at me. It got no where as I said to him I would discuss the service failure with the Hotel Manager. He replied rudely and arrogantly “YOU CAN TALK TO WHOEVER YOU WANT”. What a rude and arrogant man. When I arrived at the hotel, I spoke to the Manager on duty. He apologised profusely and remembered very well when the call was made for pickup. He was also at a loss why he didn’t turn up as promised. My hunch is, the shuttle driver had forgotten to pick me up and never did turn up. When I turned up in his face when he dropped someone off, he was taken aback I was even waiting for him!

The hotel was clean , the shuttle excellent service, the staff friendly and helpful. Rooms were small and not much fresh air, breakfast was good ,but small selection. My expectation for the original price of almost 100 $ was much better facility ans service. For this standard is overrrated and expensive. The Ibis Sofia airport is a typical airport hotel. The free transport is good. The dining oportunities are limited. The rooms have nothing belonging to the hotel other than the TV, sheets and towels. The room had a coffee maker, but not a cup to use. The air conditioning in the room did not work. If you need any hotel supplies, buy them at the Sofia airport before arriving at the hotel.

A lot of dust under the table and in the room corners, hair all over the place... Airport shuttle delayed for 10 minutes, actually arrived to hotel parking 10 minutes after scheduled departure time due to make a ride for hotel stuff. Personnel at the reception just responded for inquiry just wait for the shuttle, no explanation, no estimated time...
