One night ok
Room was quite dirty in places, I dropped something behind one of the cabinets and when I pulled it out, it was filthy, hasn't been cleaned in months. There's cobwebs in the shower room too. WiFi signal was very weak in the room. Again, friendly staff and great location (even though there's not much to do in Krabi town). Fine for a night's stay.

The staff were very friendly, and helped answer my many questions about how to get around Krabi and Railay and Ao Nang. They did not intrude my space and I didn't even encounter a single other guest. The smoking area on the 3rd floor was nice to just go out and sit not he roof (I don't smoke and my room was non smoking, and did not smell!) The view out my window was of a roof of another building, so I was hoping for something more, but with the buildings so close together it was fine. The I Talay is also very close to the street markets and within walking distance to the temples and other attractions. Boat taxi options were fine, but sometimes it was easier to hail a white or red truck. I highly recommend! I would definitely go back!

Would recommend
Really great place for the price. Rooms are big and clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are the Thai wet room style so everything gets wet once someone has a shower but since there is one on every floor, we were always able to find a dry one. Also, the location is perfect, right in the centre of Krabi. Would recommend.

Stayed in fan room, and it took about 4 hours for it to cool down enough to be able to sleep. Wasn't even hot out, but with open windows and two fans, it was still crazy hot 4 hours later. They need to air rooms out before they rent them out. No toilet paper or any type of handwash in the shared bathroom (unsanitary when sharing even if pipes are not made for toilet paper in cheap places like this, which is perfectly fine) Spot where this hostel lies, (would not call it anything else) is perfect though. Caught Krabi town in low season and had everything I needed around the corner.

A nice place but rooms are uncomfortably hot.
The hotel is clean, great deals for trips. Ideal location for night markets this would be perfect if the fans were stronger. The fan was broken in our room so we had a portable one that wasn't that strong. My partner spent most of the time directly infront of it. Plus we had an extractor fan sort of thing outside our window that kept blowing massive amounts of hot air in.

We stayed here just a night on our way to Samui. The receptionist wasn't there when we came, but they had left a key for us at the desk. Convenient! Nothing special about the hotel, it was good for that price. Nothing more, nothing less.

Comfortable stay
Stayed here with my partner, the guesthouse is in a nice location, very close to markets & restaurants and a stone throw away from the pier! The room was a nice size, very basic but clean you get what you pay for, no tv and we had a fan room which was fine and wifi works well. Staff are very friendly! Would stay here again!

Room for transit. You need ear plug to sleep from street noise for 24 hrs. Room size was okay for myself with double bed. Very basic facility. Locations near pier and 20 minutes to the Airport. Boat to Reiley is better from Ao Nang. To Ao Nang 40 bart, back to Krabi 50 bart. Krabi itself nothing to do.

NICE BUT VERY NOISY!
We stayed in the I Talay for 3 nights, it is a very central location which is great but it does also bring the noise with it. We stayed on the top floor and at times felt like I was sleeping on the main road (Make sure you bring earplugs). If you can sleep with the noise then I would recommend staying here.

Basic but cheap
You get what you pay for. Basic room accommodation for a cheap price. Approx £5 per night for a double room – what more can you expect. Good neighbourhood close to night and day markets, shops and local bus route and friendly bars. Lady on the reception was friendly enough however it was often self service - nice if you don't want to be bothered or need to check in/out early. The bathrooms are shared and shower is located near the toilet so it can get wet as can the floor due to poor drainage. You will need to bring toilet paper and soap ( toilet paper can be Boucher from the reception or 7 Eleven which is 2 minutes down the road )

I Talay is a great place for those on a budget. It's clean and has everything you need. As everyone says, can be annoying sharing bathroom but they are kept clean so it's not really a major problem. Would stay there again.

Clean budget place
If you're looking for a budget place, this place is your choice. It's clean and location is walkable to night market, the only cons is the bathroom is shared bathroom. But it's clean, otherwise the place is alright for a budget traveller. Will come back again that's for sure :)
