The Hideaway was beautiful, The staff is incredible and so helpful and friendly, the food was delicious!! The only downside was the road to get there was REALLY bad, full of deep potholes. It would be nice if the Hideaway and other properties could divide the cost and lay some rocks, or at least fill the really big holes! Other than that, Perfect!!!

Stay here. The staff is amazing and go out of their way to make your accommodations great. The free breakfast is delicious as well as the lunch / dinner which is available. This was a very nice, clean, Costa Rican Hotel for an authentic experience. The air conditioning worked really well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed watching the howler monkeys in the tree across the street and sitting by the pool. The location was a little far from town for walking so it was nice to have a car. It was a really short walk to the beach through a beautiful wooded area. We would stay here again.

Our family enjoyed Hideaway tremendously! The staff, pool, and room were wonderful! We loved the convenience of the dining options and also spotting howler monkeys and iguanas on site. You’re minutes from Playa Carrillo and Samara beach. We didn’t realize it is about a ten minute drive outside the town of Samara though. Highly recommend Hideaway!

The Hideaway Hotel is a wonderful place. My room was large and airy. A private patio looked out lush gardens. Breakfast overlooking the pool was great and plentiful with many choices- try the Típico it was really good. The staff were awesome and very polite and helpful. Nancy in particular was outstanding. I would recommend this hotel.
