3 day stopover
we stayed here 3nights on our way home to Valencia from Portugal .The hotel was easy to find and had plenty of free parking.very quick check in nice big room and plenty to do in and around the hotel.Five mins walk to the beach and about 10 mins walk to the lovely old town.the beach restaurants are excellent value for money .the biggest surprise was hiring 2 sunbeds and shade for only 8euros including a table and a free bottle of water .Would definitely stay here again .

I contacted the hotel several times through Expedia portal after booking to request rooms for 2 adults with king bed; however they never responded me. When I got there, they charged me extra 16 euros for one breakfast (which is not worth it at all and i am sure 16 euro was not the price for that). I am very disappointed and mad. The breakfast for 4 start hotel was very disappointing. No fresh juices, cooking stations such as omelet, no variety and quality was not good!

Lovely hotel for a stay in Almunecar
A lovely hotel, a few blocks back from the main town beach.My room was a large double, with large en-suite bathroom and a small balcony overlooking the pool and a view of the "Old town". The staff were all calm, efficient and working hard to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. Food from the self-service buffet was excellent with the kitchen staff working hard to keep it all fresh and not sitting around for ages. In summary, a very good hotel and a recommended place to stay.

A typical package holiday hotel.
We needed somewhere to stay for one night, while in the area for business. I would say that this is a typical package holiday hotel that one could expect if going away for a week or two. The staff were incredibly nice. As this hotel caters almost solely for Spanish customers (Spanish families mainly), I had to make use of my very basic Spanish - and all the staff were wonderfully patient. The hotel facilities are clean, but do look a bit worn. I remember staying in hotels that looked like this in the 1980s. That all said - there is nothing wrong with that. It is clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff really make an effort, and the clientele are lovely (as are virtually all Spanish people after all). Yes, there were niggles - like the bathroom floor got easily wet, and the balcony door did not lock properly - but it would have been impossible for anyone other than Spider-Man to get into the balcony, and the hotel is very safe. The pool area was nice and pleasant, and the food and entertainment were way above average for this type of hotel. If I were to do a package holiday, or visit the area again - I would most definitely use this hotel again.

Had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel Victoria Playa which was located very conveniently for me to visit my friends. The staff were smartly dressed and helpful. What did impress me very much was the cleanliness of everything. One could see ones face on the floor tiles. 10 out of 10

nice hotel, does the job, nothing spectacur.
The hotel was quite nice. Rooms were fine, the pool was small but did the job. Staff friendly enough. The breakfast had quite a lot of choice. The hotel is a short 5 minute walk from the beach front and strip of a few restaurants. The only sownside was the car park - we arrived very late on a Saturday night - probably the last people to arrive in town! The twon and hotel is full of mainly Spanish. Sadly there was no parking in he small, un organised car-park. I drove around the town for ages but couldn't find a single spot, so had to pay for the underground parking, about 10 euros a day. Other than that we were happy with the hotel. Samller than it seems. We didn't stick around for evening entertainment but the locals seemed to be happy with it. The town itself is OK though we found nicer places on our travel around the region.
