The hotel was empty. I think I might have been the only guest. My room was upgraded to the penthouse, which was fine but not in fantastic condition. Pool was great. Just a little bit of a surreal experience, like something from the walking dead

I check in late because I do have a fly delay, a beautiful lady the works in the reception told me she will help me even if I check in late. One night we have very heavy rain, and the roof was leaking all night, the leaking noise wake me up, call reception but hotel crew only help me with some extra towel to cover the water, but they fixed next day. When I check out I told them I will be back.

What a relief
This hotel was a dream after the previous one I was at. Check in was quick and easy. The hotel was pretty small, which I liked. It was in a fairly convenient location, near the beach, with a Walmart and restaurants nearby. It was also near a bus stop. The room was very clean. There’s was AC and the wi-fi worked well the whole time. There was a small rooftop pool. The food service was good but there were few options due to COVID. I really enjoyed this hotel and I would definitely stay again or recommend it to others.

Next to Walmart and Casino .didn't like 5 of us all in 1 room. When i booked I was lead to believe that there were 3 rooms. But it was fine we lived with it rather than pick up and go to another property.

Very good value and quality on Costera
I traveled solo to acapulco to visit the beach. The first night I stayed at the Park hotel, which was closer to the bus station, and cost almost double the cost of the Nilo hotel. Frankly, the Nilo Hotel was twice as good even though it is only listed as a 2.5 star hotel. It was definitely good value for the money. The Nilo had rooms at a reasonable $28-35 per night, the bathroom/shower fixtures were nicer and newer than at the Park, and you are still only 2 blocks from the beach. If you are trying to get good value for money and still be on the Costera, this hotel is a great option.

Nice hotel, close to everything
I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Nilo. It is a block to the beach, bus line, casino, restaurants and the Cartera bus, which takes one everyplace for less than 50 cents. The rooms were small but nicely appointed, the bathrooms modern, and the locks on the doors substantial. The rooftop pool was small but clean and pleasant. The hotel staff went out of their way to be helpful. The wi-fi was pretty good. This is a great place to stay for someone who does not have a car and knows a bit of Spanish. On the downside, the mattresses are a bit hard and the one block walk to the main street a bit lonely when it was dark. Also, the floors are very slick, particularly around the pool but also in the rooms, so be sure to be careful and wear shoes when the floors are wet (this seems to be a problem with Mexican flooring in general). There is a substantial federal police presence in front of the casino, which may make you feel safe or nervous, depending on your point of view. There were very few visitors from the U.S. when I was there, mostly there were families from Mexico and a few from Europe.

26 nights in comfort
I stayed here for almost 1 month and never had a problem. I do not speak Spanish and everything seamed to work out just fine. The staff spoke some English and they some how knew my face and room number automatically. The cleaning crew kept the place spotless and my room was cleaned so well that i skipped cleanings 2 and sometimes 3 days at a time. I never in my life stayed in a hotel where they cleaned the rooms so well every single time. I looked for errors and never found one.I used 1 towel for a shower mat and the next day they brought in a new shower mat into my bathroom because they simply realized i liked to have one. I did not ask or complained about it, they just paid attention to me and my room and stayed 5 steps ahead of me at all times.. I would love to live there for the rest of my life. this hotel is perfect for someone that is not looking for all the bells and whistles that come with a hefty price tag per night. Very economical, safe area, clean every where, friendly staff, nice relaxing pool and deck, good wifi, a/c
