I will start with the positives, the communal toilets and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. It is on a tourist route and is cheap. The hotel had a restaurant which was convenient.
Moving on to the more negative side of things, the room lacked any leg room, it felt like a shoe box. The sofa was right next to the sink, hardly had space to use it. Extension cables and wires were all over the place. Our whole purpose of staying at this place was to have a good night's sleep before we headed to Milford sound, but sleep was one thing we did not get. The walls were too thin we could hear what the neighbors were talking, everytime they turned the tap on we could hear the water flow, people were constantly opening and closing doors all through the night to use the washrooms. The bed was uncomfortable with springs hurting our backs. The lacthes on the window were broken so couldn't even have them open.
I think the place has heaps of potential, it needs a total makeover.
