This was our first time visiting Amsterdam and loved our stay at The Bolster. The hotel is conveniently located by the tram with access to the entire city. There are bars and restaurants right by the hotel as well as walkable options. The accommodations were right what we expected.

Review was a nice walkable distance to everything and the staff were super friendly. The frustrating part was the A/c was actually turned off and having the window open to cool off room brought in the smell of fried food from restaurants nearby and loud music till the early am hours.

Great location in the heart of a busy historic district. Very unique place to stay. Other than the tricky staircase to go up to the rooms, everything was better than expected. Serena the manager is helpful, entertaining, and very accommodating!

I booked the nightlife experience room which is above a bar. I can sleep through anything so I did not experience any discomfort. I would not recommend it to people who don't sleep steadily. The woman working there was very helpful and so kind which is always a perk. 🙂 Very good location as well, beautiful room. There's some water excess while showering but is easily taken care of by putting a towel on the floor. I would therefore recommend it and reward it with a solid 9 out of 10.

The bar below us stays open until 4:00 or 5:00am depending on the night. The dj keeps the music going with a loud bass. Probably 80 people outside the bar chatting, yelling, smoking. Did not sleep properly any night. The room itself was small. There was a fridge which was great. And the bed was decent. Shower spills out into rest of bathroom. Staff were very nice and helpful.

We had a great time at Bolster! Room was tiny but just what we needed. Area is great but definitely not quiet, so if you are looking for calm gateway then I would chose somewhere else. Plenty of food options and coffeeshops in the area. Also be prepared to climb some stairs! No elevator, but it had its European charm :)

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bolster. I would advise people that this is located in a very busy/touristy part of Amsterdam with outdoor restaurants and clubs. You can hear the noise slightly even 2 floors up. The staff were friendly and polite, they allowed us to enter our room early and to leave our luggage with them at check-out. Very comfy bed, with a tv and a/c. Would recommend a stay if you are going to explore the city as its in a great location making everywhere easily walkable.

Would stay here again, staff very friendly & helpful. Bed was really comfortable and room really clean. Was a bit noisy as we had room on the front and on top of a bar but still didnt stop us from falling asleep. Im a great area to ive stayed in a few hotels around this area before. I would recommend this hotel.

Stayed in the nightlife experience room which was really pretty and cosy. Perfect location - a 10/15 min walk in any direction to the main sites. A lot bigger than expected and was a pleasant stay. On a weekend it can be quite loud from the bars/clubs around but that is to be expected in any hotel close to Amsterdam city centre

The Bolster is in a great location just off Rembrandtplein and a short walk from the flower market. A boutique style hotel that offers room only. The property is in the older narrow typical dutch style so beware of the stairs as they're steep and narrow! The Bolster is clean and tidy, offers value for money and the staff are lovely!
