"Outstanding boutique hotel with superb gardens and swimming pool. Hotel is located in the suburbs of Funchal with free parking. Staff were extremely helpful. Room was spacious and well-appointed and had a balcony overlooking the gardens. Food was excellent!"

I also loved the swimming pool (both indoor and outdoor). The reception staff were super friendly who made me feel happy and welcomed. "What an amazing property. This hotel was one of my favorites throughout our family trip of 10 days around Portugal and Madeira. We were given a suite with pool and ocean view. The rooms were spotless clean, comfortable beds with fluffy pillows. One of the best breakfast buffets we have experienced. The staff was very friendly and professional. Located near restaurants, natural pool, shopping mall. Highly recommend to stay at Porto Mare Bayport when visiting Funchal."
"Absolutely gorgeous and clean facilities, pools, rooms, and dining. I highly recommend the half board option, the food and service was impeccable. The staff was gracious enough to upgrade our room as a celebration for a HUGE job promotion I had just received (and the reason for my trip). Can’t recommend this place enough. The demographic is a bit older but my fiance and I expected this. The sites poolside were breathtaking and there were plenty of places to sit. Great wine selection and the menu at the main restaurant changed nightly making it so we never got bored. 10/10 Cliff Bay! "

We had an exceptional 10-day stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The buffet service was amazing with a great variety of desserts, fruits, and fresh salads every day. While the food selection was overall very good, we would’ve loved to see more beef and chicken options, as there was a lot of pork and fish.
The pool area is beautiful and very well maintained, making it a relaxing spot to spend the day. We also really appreciated the snack bar with hot items—a great touch for between meals!
One of the most memorable parts of our trip was celebrating my son’s birthday. I simply mentioned it in the special instructions when booking the room, and on his birthday, the staff surprised him with a birthday cake delivered to our room. It meant so much to us and made the day extra special.
A huge thank you to all the staff for your hard work and for going above and beyond every day to make sure every guest feels special. You truly made our vacation one to remember!!!!!"
