The Tower Hotel, by Thistle
10/10 Excellent
"I loved the location which is picturesque and handy to the Tower Hill tube station. I found the eateries both inside and around the hotel very good. The staff were helpful, friendly and professional and the room was clean and well serviced. All in all I had a great experience and a wonderful holiday."
"Hotel is in a great location, close to the underground, cafes, restaurants and museums. Rooms and elevators are small and carpet needs an upgrade. I would stay here again!"
"Staff was very attentive and accommodating. The hotel was experiencing a leaking roof that was coming through to the lobby but the situation was being handled with little disruption to the guest "
"Originally, our stay didn't start well, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned, a big clump of hair in the shower! After speaking to a woman on reception ( 3 times) we finally spoke to the manager of the hotel, who was polite, helpful & gorgeous! He kindly upgraded us to a 1 bed suite, it was a perfect experience after the initial hiccup.
Will definitely stay here again when visiting london. Beautiful room, close to the Savoy theatre, i cannot praise the helpful manager enough.
We enjoyed a swim on our departure day, great little pool we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, 5 stars!"
"The whole process was smooth from checking in till checking out. Rooms were clean, comfortable and modern. Easy walking distance for most places. Couldn’t fault the place for the 2 nights we were there."
"This is a cute boutique hotel in a great spot in downtown London. Checking in was easy and smooth and we were within walking distance of tons of restaurants, stores, and transportation. The room was nice, if small. I accidentally booked a room without windows, which was a new experience, but the mood lighting in the room helped alleviate that to some degree.
The lobby is a nice place to relax and the Continental breakfast was great, with tons of options and fresh pastries.
Some small downsides that aren't a big deal but worth mentioning:
The room did not have a lot of storage for our clothes. The far side of the bed didn't have outlets and we had to run a cord across the bed to charge a phone overnight.
The room was also a bit stuffy, without much ventilation.
Would definitely stay here again if I came into town."
