Room was clean, friendly staff
Fred, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Room is pleasant, bathroom nicely redone
Missing smoke detector. When I reported it, the clerk said that was not uncommon - people do that to smoke in the rooms. She said she was sorry and they never would have let us stay in that room if they had known. The room was tiny. Checking?

The staff was courteous and helpful. The desk clerk assigned me with my luggage. The room was impressive. It took a little while for the internet to connect but it eventually kicked in. It was a pleasure stay. I plan to return.
Room was in the historic section of the hotel.
I loved the fan. It has an art deco look.

Worst birthday weekend ever, thanks to the Gibson

The inn itself is very nice, the rooms were nice although there was a cockroach in our bathroom, we did a cousin’s birthday trip we canceled our reservation at a different inn because the Gibson has a bar and restaurant and a billiard room, we checked in and we were told by the bartender that on Saturday the following day we would not be allowed in the bar and we would not be able to eat in the restaurant due to a wedding they were hosting, in my opinion this is about as bad as it gets when it comes to bad hospitality, we also couldn’t use the restaurant on Sunday morning before we left again the wedding, I brought my issue to the front desk and all they could do is take $50 off our bill and say so sorry, we spent more than $50 on 1 round of drinks in their bar, this place needs to look up the definition of hospitality, stay clear of this place there are several Airbnb places, I would have booked one if I knew we were going to be kicked to the curb when it came to using their accommodation this id a horrible place

Great old time look like what one might imagine an older southern large house would feel like. Locals patronize the bar and it's a genuine small town vibe. Room was on the small side but quite nice. Quaint common areas to hangout in. Keep in mind if you book on Expedia it's essentially a reservation and you have to pay when you get to the hotel.

It’s a beautiful inn that is in meticulous condition. Loved the decor and the cleanliness. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again

Do not select a superior room. The room should have been labeled “Inferior Room”. The king bed was very comfortable, but they crammed it into a room with barely any room to move around. There was 18” between the bed and the wall, 12” between the end of the bed and the dresser which made it nearly impossible to open the drawers and the blinds were poorly installed such that you could see around the blinds and into the room. Additionally the light on the outside porch was on all night, and with the poorly installed blinds, it was like sleeping with the lights on.

Gibson Inn was beautiful and rooms all modern and renovated. Staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions on where to eat and what to do. Old Florida and wonderful!
Sally, 2-night trip

Stay was excellent in this inn. Everything was spectacular from the cleanliness to its rustic appearance. The only solitary thing I can say is that we received a room next to the main stairwell that received much foot traffic.

I love the beauty of the old hotel and it is right in the middle of the town and so convenient to get to....also the dining there at the Franklin is delicious!! Bar was so cute and great drinks....love the old feel in the hotel lobby bar. Our room, bed, and bath were so comfortable!!! Will definitely stay there again.

Wonderful Victorian style hotel in great location

Lovely hotel and staff! Lots of vintage and retro furniture and art. Our room (218) had a wonderful bed and nice bathroom. The amenities and towels are great quality. Loved the Nespresso machine with coffee in the room. This hotel was perfect for an overnight and perfectly located to walk eat and shop!!! Thank you especially to Eva- she was so helpful and really nice!!!

Our room was on the third floor, steps were hard especially carrying our luggage and belongings! next time we stay there, first floor only for us old farts !!

Gorgeous stay

Lovely place. Our actual room was small but the bath was huge with two shower heads in the shower. The availability of additional porches, parlors and the lobby give you plenty of places to enjoy the lovely inn. We’ll be back. The only drawback, the restaurant staff was overwhelmed. I hope they get that sorted out.

Great location

Located just outside the center of town your room is still quiet. The property is old but renovated. My only caution would be that is you are concerned about walking there are no elevators. Our second story room was somewhat challenging to get to. The front desk offered help but I refused. I probably would have taken it if I knew how mant steps were involved.
Barbara, 1-night trip

Most things were pretty good about our stay, it was clean, close to a lot of things to do, and located in what felt like a safe area. My only problems were we got charged 16$ for 2 water bottles that we did not ever see or request in anyway. We also called a day ahead and asked about early check in and were told as long as the room was ready we could check in but we we arrived early we were told the room was ready but it would be a 50$ charge for any check in before 3pm. And the final issue was the rooms were not sound proof and we were located right by the entrance and could hear people come and go and doors open and close all night.
mitchell, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Check in stunk. There was no one at desk for 30 minutes to help. We were so tired. The manager finally came and found someone. He did give us a free drink for the trouble. The property is lovely except for construction. It's a great location. We paid big bucks for 2 rooms, at least have one free bottle of water and more than 1 coffee pod and no stir stick. I had to use my toothbrush for the morning. Saturday night and the bar closing at 10 pm did not make us happy. .
