My wife and I have stayed here many times over the years, and unfortunately, this was the worst experience so far. The issues included:
(1) being misled at check-in about the water being complimentary;
(2) no Kleenex in the room, and then no drop-off of it even though I saw the receptionist make a note of it when I requested it on the way to the gym -- making me come back down again to get it in person when I got back to the room;
(3) no shower gel in the room followed by the bad explanation that it's been out for months and the hotel hasn't come up with a workaround (for example, small bottles being made available at the front desk, upon request);
(4) the ice machine on our floor being out of ice on Sunday; and
(5) getting a busy signal every time we tried to call the front desk (5-10 times over 24 hours).
The other unfortunate thing? Nobody at the front desk really seemed to care at all when we called things to their attention, and the general manager didn't even reply to an email I sent him directly.
