This hotel sits on an amazing property.The marshlands are beautiful.
Unfortunately the hotel is in desperate need of a remodel refurbish. No one is there to greet you when you arrive,there is a virtual kiosk in the lobby.
As I was being checked in by Sid the virtual person in the kiosk, he took 3 phone calls. After asking me all of the questions I had already been asked online when I made the reservation, I was told that my room would be on the first floor. I asked if that was overlooking the marsh and was told no I would have to be on the 2nd floor in order to have a marsh reservation, which I had already put in for ahead of my arrival.
I was not given any direction on how to get to my room.Nor how to access the internet nor any information on when breakfast was served. If there was a elevator on the property , I never found it. After bringing my luggage upstairs walked into my room, the A/C was not turned on and the room was very stuffy.
I walked to the window to look out at the marsh, the windows were filthy.
There were stains on some of the linens.
The hallway smelled of cigarette smoke.
The water was not hot on my second day. There was a note saying if you needed anything contact the front desk. Obviously this is retorical since no one works the front desk.
