The hotel is not a brand new but everything is clean and the room was perfect.. They accept pets so you smell somedog pee in the hallway when they took and walk pets inside . The pool is clean and the breakfast is ok no pancake. The lady in the front desk need to greet the guest upon check in and smile and not on their cellphone and pretend that they didn't see people and thjs was happened last Saturday night but overall everything was great and close to any attractions.

Don't waste your money.
When we checked in the lady at the counter had rather be anywhere but there, very rude. Got checked in and the carpet in the hallway was so wet it would get your shoes and socks wet. Got into the room and there were a dirty pair of panties in the closet floor. When we were going to the pool I informed the lady at the counter and she started laughing and said "ok" got bk to the room from the pool which was the only good thing about the motel. The panties were gone but the door was standing open. Leaving the next morning and my son slid down in the floor because it was so slick. Told a different lady at the counter that they needed to put out signs her only response was OK not I'm sorry he fell or anything we can do. Definitely would not return and definitely would not recommend .

Paid for ammenities not provided. Elevators not working, had to carry everything upstairs. Pool out of order. Stairwells were dirty and smelly. Lots of things looked in need of repairs/work.

If you are looking for a cheap hotel with no roaches and similar to a very old motel with musty air conditioning then this is your place. The pictures have to be from 20 years ago when they first open or a different place altogether. Run down and room carpet had many stains. Only thing nice in the room was the office chair. Maintenance guy was very friendly and prompt to fix our broken toilet.

Rude treatment by staff at breakfast
The property was a little dingy and in need of repair. Faucet did not work when turned to cold...dirty grout, etc. It appeared that there was an attempt to disguise a room odor with an overpowering fragrance. Still, I wouldn't be giving doing this bad review if it wasn't for a bad experience I had at breakfast. I had arrived within a minute or two of closing time. I started filling my plate when a staff person came in and started removing items in front of me - as if I was not there. I understand rules are rules, but this seemed unnecessarily harsh and inconsiderate to me. Had this been handled better, I probably would have been more forgiving about other issues. Instead, the experience motivated me to write this bad review. It kind of ruined everything for me. Note to management: I realize it is hard to keep everything fixed, but at least train your staff to show respect to guests! I do want to say that the check-in staff were superb. I am a frequent visitor to Springfield, but I will not be returning to Greenstay.
