Hotel is mostly clean but they have some way to get a very good rating a lot of stuff still going on to get it in top shape but I think they will get it done

A Decent Choice
If you want to save money, this is a good bet. Well stocked, clean, somewhat renovated, and friendly, this hotel makes for a nice day in Yankton. As a matter of fact, we stayed here twice in two weeksโ time. They offer a small, hot breakfast and stay on top of stocking the coffee when the Stugis-bound bikers fill their travel mugs with it.

Not as described and NO refund!
When I booked from hotels.com, it said that adjoining rooms were available at Econolodge. I booked two rooms and made a note that we needed to have adjoining rooms to accommodate our family. When we got there, the hotel said they had no adjoining rooms in the building. They said they couldn't refund us our money because we booked through hotels.com and it was the websites problem. My husband called hotels.com and they said they had to approve the refund through the hotel. What?!! So neither place wanted to take responsibility for the false information on the website.
We ended up getting rooms at a different hotel and my husband went back to talk to the manager the next day. He seemed cooperative and said he would give us a refund but it still had to be done through hotels.com. We called hotels.com again and they said "they didn't guarantee any special requests" and since I didn't spend the extra money to get the refund guarantee, the hotel had to approve the refund and said the hotel had denied it.
So both Econolodge and hotels.com gave us the runaround and wasted our money because of misleading info on the website. Don't was your time or money with Econolodge or hotels.com!

The staff was kinda rude didnโt really seem like they knew what was going on, The hot tub was down when we were there wasnโt no warning, The door to the outside does not lock so you can just walk in and same for the pool. The outdoor landscape is very uninviting and there was glass all over the parking lot which now I have glass in my foot because of that.

The front desk attendant that checked me in seemed that they did not want to be there. Upon settling in, it was discovered that there was no remote for the tv. We contacted the front desk multiple times and were told to use the buttons on the tv. As for the cleanliness of the room, there were pet hairs on the blankets and spots where something splashed on the lamps.

The workers were delightful and very friendly. The rooms were adequate. Actually ironically the toilet paper was superb which is a funny way to judge how much a hotel cares about you. But maintenance of the place is very poor. The rugs are disgusting. The pool though indoor wasn't even heated. The hot tub appears to have not been working for ages based on reviews even though the sign up front says there's a hot tub. Staff were quite friendly. Breakfast was very good. Clean and repair the place and you'll have a really good hotel!

Front desk person was great. He was very personable. Quick processing check in. Super easy to work with It was one night only.
Made it effortlessly trip. Appreciate the breakfast. Clean and fully stocked this man was also very friendly and stayed on top of all food items.
Great job great hotel. If were in this city area again we will stay here again

I have an elderly mother with a prosthetic leg and is on dialysis. Our room was on the 2nd floor which was not indicated on the reservation. There were no elevators and we were not able to move to the first floor for her comfort. We also did not link how dirty the room was. We wiped our floors down and the towels turned black from the dirt. The bathroom smelt like urine.

The door did not automatically lock we had to swipe our card to lock when we left the room. The check-in staff were pleasant as well as the breakfast but no maid staff attended our room during our stay meaning no clean towels or dumped garbage. I would also like to state that our search parameters there was to be a functional hot tub. This was out of service and I am not sure wether it was up to Expedia or the hotel to keep this updated as we would have not stayed knowing the hot tub was out of service.

Pleasant staff, the hot tub was closed snd the pool wasn't that good, they were replacing the carpet late into the night but at least they were making improvements. Still lots of improvements needed. Breakfast was included but was not very good so we only ate there once on our stay. We would go back again because the price is good but if ee want a good hotel I would go elsewhere until they've made improvements here
