Wonderful location only a half a block from the parque principal, close to restaurants and shopping. It is an older hotel but well maintained and clean. Unlike a lot of older hotels in the Centro it has an elevator.

I'm already thinking when can I come again!
We loved the central location, the courtyard, the pool on the roof was definitely another highlight. Staff was friendly, room was neat and clean, windows facing the atrium made for quiet sleep. We didn't use the restaurant on site as we loved exploring different restaurants and markets. I would suggest adding a mini fridge to the room to keep some perishable snacks or cold drinks. Gaps in the windows made the AC slightly less efficient, but I don't pay the energy bills in this place. I was sceptical of Merida at first, but I definitely fell in love with the city and Hotel Caribe contributed to this a lot. I'm already thinking when can I come again!

It’s very well located in front of a park but the room is at the back of the building which is quiet. The breakfast (paid extra to have it included) was very good - the fruit bowl was very generous!! It’s nice to have an elevator. The roof top has nice views of the surrounding area- good place to take a few photos…

The hotel’s location is excellent, with a view of the oldest Catholic church in the Americas from the deck. The hotel’s garden is also uniquely scenic. The staff are very friendly, and you don’t have to walk far in any direction to experience beautiful and vibrant street scenes. The parking lot is two blocks away from the hotel, about 200 meters. However, this is understandable since it’s an old neighborhood. Rather than destroying historic buildings to expand the parking area, I’d rather walk a bit more.

We only stayed one night at Hotel Caribe, but we knew how great it was just in that one night! They had an absolutely amazing breakfast, parking comes included with your stay upon request. The building is absolutely beautiful and antiquated! The pool is lovely too! The staff go above and beyond to make sure everything is to your liking, and the bed was very comfortable! Everything you could need is within walking distance of hotel caribe. The food options are endless as well! The only thing I wish was different, is that they had hot water available for showering. Otherwise if we come back to Merida, we will surely book them again!
