Amazing stay, close to awesome hikes. I was shocked with the service we received. They were there to serve with a smile on their face at any given moment. Views from the mountain view rooms were stunning.

I had a great stay at this property! Staff was great and the property is beautiful. Only one con…I waited hours for breakfast to arrive and it never did after being told twice that it was on the way. However, I will not let that deter me from staying again. Already planning another trip in the spring.

this is a beautiful property. However, issues with the restaurant and staff not washing their hands after picking up floor mats behind the bar immediately started touching food and glasses without washing hands. Wait staff seems to feel the need to tell me what I should order and what they like instead of just asking me what I would like to order. extremely annoying. They force you to use valet parking and then charge you $40 a day, ridiculous.

Cloudland Property and staff were very good. Will not book through Expedia in the future however. Nothing but stress and issues due to inaccuracies in booking at the start then those inaccuracies showed up again on the last day. Expedia’s part in the process was awful.

We stayed in July 2024. The property just opened to the public in May. We had to wait quite some time at one of the restaurants within the resort and some of the others were closed during our stay. Assuming that they are still short staffed, we decided to overlook that inconvenience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to go back in the future.

Awesome staff.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Truck was parked in valet parking which was over a mile away, anytime I needed it. It was there within five minutes.

Beautiful property and views! Seemed a little short staffed which led to slow service at times, but overall a great overnight stay. I do think the golf course is a little over valued at $275. The course was not I. premium condition (tee boxes were beat up, and we even teed off a mat at one point). Only 2 bottles of water are included at that price, and we did not see any free water stations. Also did not see a beverage cart at all on the back 9.
Hotel fantastic, golf course a little pricey for what you get.

Gorgeous property, service isn’t very good
Gorgeous property overlooking the mountains. We had several service issues, including long, long waits are the restaurants and incorrect orders (multiple times.) Our waitress at the Croft also told us she was so busy because the waitresses are also required to wash the dishes of their guests. When we checked out, there were hundreds of dollars in charges that were incorrect and thankfully were caught and resolved. They really try to nickel and dime you for everything at this resort. So, all-in, the property is spectacular and five-star. The service is 3-star right now but hopefully they can fix things as time goes on.

Beautiful property with beautiful views. Staff is friendly. Love the pet friendly aspect and relatively cheap fee for bringing our two pups. There are easy trails on the property that allowed us to walk to dogs to get them tired before heading to the pool or out to eat. Cloudland canyon state park is very close and enjoyable. The food wasn’t what I would consider spectacular, but I did enjoy the French toast at Croft or craft or whatever it’s called. The “aud..” restaurant had some of the best boudin I’ve ever had. Dry aged ribeye was way over priced, in my opinion. Pool didn’t have quite enough shaded space for the heat in early July. Not enough chairs at the pool yet either. Big crowd for the 4th of July and since they just opened in May, I assume they will adjust to accommodate such crowd. We loved it.

The resort location is out of this world, in midst of the mountains, its beautiful. There is a 5-mile trail up and cloudland canyon state park 12 miles away. The food, though expensive (expect to pay 2-3 x times a normal restuarant) but it was excellent, top chef quality. However there were a few caveats. One there was dense fog around around 3-4pm the day we checked in. We had to go with near-zero visibility on a narrow 2-way road for half-hour to 45 mins leading upto the resort. The worst part was not able to see the right edge of the road with what seemed like steep fall offs. It was the scariest trip of our lives. [The second day the fog cleared and the view was gorgeous and we didnt have issues coming back]. Secondly, there was NO microwave in the rooms and the fridge was REALLY small. This place expects to buy expensive fresh food everytime ($50 for two breakfasts). But the staff was kind enough to let us access their microwave. There is only valet parking and those guys misspelled my name (and had difficulty finding me next day) and greeted me with "did you come here to dine ma'am", i guess we did not quite look rich enough ? But they were polite and told us about trails later, so it all worked out.
