We had an excellent stay at the Turtley Corn Mill. We reserved the lakeside cottage, and it delivered a wholesome, serene and exquisite experience of a kind not easily found in the UK. The lake and surrounding grounds are a haven to local avian life and the cottage offers a panoramic, unfettered access to all bird lovers, offering the most intimate vantage points with a particularly powerful set of binoculars that came with the cottage!
The pub owners are affable hosts and helped us create a bespoke itinerary for a full day visit of the vicinity to explore and weave the rich experience of the surroundings. The food at the adjoining restaurant in the pub was categorically delectable and goobleworthy!
Overall, it was a marvel of a time that will be etched into fond memories. The ostentation of resident peafowl and peacocks prancing the grounds in an unbridled manner was a delight to the eyes and soul. We will be back and the stay at Turtley, especially the lakeside cottage, comes with our highest recommendation for anyone looking for a getaway!
