Good news and bad news. Good news: We had a broken suitcase handle when we arrived. On mention to the concierge, the maintenance man arrived in 5 minutes with toolbox in hand and in another 5 minutes he had it fixed. Yay! Five stars to that guy! Bad news: my wife and I had a couples massage and were charged double the price quoted to me. I felt ripped off. That marred a wonderful stay. So only four stars.

We enjoyed our stay here. We stayed in a suite with the extra beds for our kids. It was clean and comfortable. The pool was great. 15 min walk to the old town of Coimbra was the only drawback. Also, limited food options at the property and immediate surroundings on a Sunday We would stay again though

My only complaint is thin walls, and much of the public, regardless of nationality, seems to have forgotten what it means to stay in a shared space while speaking in hushed tones. The people who work here are caring and kind, but hotel guests need some training.

Great outside pool area overlooking the river, staff very friendly. Just a short walk from the bus station and 10 minute walk to train station. 10 minute walk to the old town. We were upgraded to a corner room with an oversized balcony looking out over the pool to the river. Spacious room, quiet, plenty of shelf and drawer space. The staff were amazing, Portuguese-friendly. Breakfast was very nice, with lots of hot and cold options including an omelet station. Location was very walkable to the Old Town, and also to the opposite side of the river and the Santa Clara monastery, plus walkways on both sides of the river.
