All the staff was very welcoming, helpful and attentive to our needs. The manager even brought us back my wife's hat all the way to Marrakech. Very appreciated.

We were met on the main street in Imlil with a man and a mule. He strapped our bags to mule and guided us on a ~20 minute walk to the hotel, out of the town of Imlil. We loved staying outside of Imlil, the hotel felt like a private mountain respite. The property is beautiful, and the staff very welcoming. Our visit was in early January, so the heated floors in our room were a real treat! We only stayed for one night and did a short day hike before catching a ride to Marrakesh, but the night at Village du Toubkal was a highlight of the trip!

Really nice place to stay to enjoy the mountain air. Ask for a room with a terrace/view..delicious tangineโs for dinner each night at the hotel, great hiking in the area even if you are not planning to climb Toubkal. They do have WiFi.

The manager of this riad was very helpful during our entire stay. Just wear good walking shoes for going to and from Imlil - itโs about a 15 minute walk.

Incredible place, definitely stay here!
This place is incredible! The room was humongous, it had a huge bath, two mirrors, a table and chairs and the best view over the Imlil mouintains! The staff were lovely, spoke really good English and each one went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay which was really appreciated. The mint tea on arrival was perfect and dinner and breakfast were both scrumptious! We arrived by car and under advice from the hotel parked at the Atlas restaurant in town, it cost about 20 DH to park there and was easy to find. We called them and they sent a mule and guide down to walk us to the hotel. It took about 20 minutes and was a lovely walk (although easier down than up!) it's not too strenuous but it is something to bear in mind. We passed some locals on the way who happily engaged us in conversation and saw a slice of local life. We only stayed one night and wished we could stay longer as it was pure luxury for such a good price, you won't regret staying here, if you have a few days it would be perfect relaxation to sit on the roof terrace and watch the world go by in the valley below or take a hike with one of the hotel guides.Overall very impressed with this hotel!!
If you're a cat lover you'll see lots of strays in the area so make sure you take some cheap cat food from the supermarket and make some new friends during your stay at this wonderful place!

Great place to relax and unwind.
Peaceful and awe evoking setting. Gracious and gentle staff. Envigorating hamman and scrub. Simple wholesome food. Clean air, bird song, wind moving through the valley and the call to prayer in the distance. Relaxed instantly and slept like a child.

Beautiful and charming.
Amazing views...Amazing meals...the chef, Omar makes the most delicious dinners. I would come back anytime. WiFi is a little weak, but the location and setting more than make up for that. Put away the smartphone and enjoy the setting.

Varmt och trevligt med vacker utsikt
Mycket trevligt hotell i bergen strax ovanfรถr Imlil. Mina varmaste rekommendationer!

Top of the world!
The hotel is located at the top of Imlil in the mountainside and in my opinion should also be at the top of the list of places to stay - we loved it!
On arrival in Imlil village we were met by Hamid and his donkey to help carry our suitcases up the mountain. This is absolutely essential as it is a steep 20 minute hike up to the hotel plus would be difficult to find on the first time. Climbing from 1740 metres up another 150+ metres.
The manager Nawal was amazing - she could not have been more helpful answering many questions and making us feel extremely welcome. She worked extremely hard and was always available to help with any of our needs. She was fluent in English and French so was easy to communicate.
The chefs and staff Hussein, Lahcen and Abdo also did a great job preparing us delicious homely dinners with a different tasty tagine every evening plus soup and fruit for 15 euros per person. We stayed 4 nights and ate here every night as would have been difficult walking up and down the mountain at night to the village. They also provided endless pots of moroccan tea which we enjoyed sitting in front of the warming wood burner.
Breakfast was included in the price and was quite simple with a boiled egg, cheese, bread, honey and jams and freshly squeezed orange juice. During the day they could provide lunch for 6 euros per person (salad and omelette) or otherwise was a good chance to explore the village.

Amazing location!
The view from the hotel was outstanding. The journey on foot up to the hotel is up through a rocky river bed and woodland for about 20 minutes but the climb is well worth it! Warm welcome with tea and wood burning stove roaring. Amazing base for hiking and exploring the area. Accommodation is basic but clean and food was good. Bring layers for all weathers and sturdy footwear.

A fantastic place -small, very comfortable, and very helpful staff. The location is spectacular - at the foot of the highest mountain in North Africa. Just one caveat, access to the hotel is only on foot via steep trails, dried river beds etc., so you need to be reasonably mobile. Mules carry your luggage.
