We were a large family group, including young kids traveling for a memorial. We rented the 20 person cabin. The day before our stay they called me and informed me we would need to bring our own plates and cups (despite being advertised as having a full kitchen including "essential cookware, utensils, and dinnerware". Not the end of the world but not ideal. Upon check in we noticed that the property seemed dirty. In the lower level there was an active water leak, a bucket collecting water by the water heater, obvious mold. There was hair in the drains, kleenex under the beds, and also an exposed staple in the staircase. I understand some bugs maybe or sand in a lake house but this was a health and safety concern. Also, the main level ac wasn't working so we called and they came to look and said they would have someone come out the next day. When my husband expressed his dissatisfaction and concern for the condition of the house the man told him we're "paying for the lake" and brushed him off completely. We scrambled to find a place to accommodate our large group and left that same night without completing our stay. The lake was nice, but I'm not staying somewhere unsafe for my family just to be on a lake. The woman at the front desk was nice at check in at least? I would recommend staying away, especially from the 20 person cabin.
