The service experience could be rewritten to better convey your frustration and details like this:
The service was incredibly disappointing. I arrived at 2:50 PM for check-in, knowing I was 10 minutes early. I was informed that the room was still being cleaned, which I completely understood. However, at 3:20 PM, when I followed up at the front desk, they said the room wasn’t ready yet and assured me it would take just 10 more minutes.
After waiting an additional 40 minutes, I returned to the desk and suggested checking me in beforehand to expedite the process once the room was ready. The staff refused. By this point, I was quite frustrated. Then, about 10 minutes later, another staff member informed me that the family room I had reserved was undergoing maintenance and would not be available. They offered me two separate rooms on the same floor instead.
At this stage, I explained that I simply needed to check in quickly, as I had other reservations to attend. Despite my urgency, they made me wait another 30 minutes before finally giving me just one room, claiming the other was still unavailable. The entire process was unnecessarily long and frustrating.
